Why the FUCK hasn't 4chan adopted WebP yet?
Full res of pic related here: /g/ here:

WebP offers:
-lossy encoding
-lossless encoding
-transparency
-animations
-lower lossless file size compared to PNG
-lower file sized compared to JPG at the quality
It's literally the best general purpose format that there can exist for the web. It replaces PNG, JPG, and even GIF.

Yes, we know everything is already from China but in here we discuss the no/low-name cheap shit you see on Gearbest, AliExpress, eBay and similar sites.

Is the 2GB of RAM on Teclast x80 enough? How much free ram you get with no apps open?
I was away for couple of days but my wife received 1) cheap mini raspi wifi dongle
2) in the post box there were bicycle wires
3) and in the post office there were the gaybans (pic from seller), but they look like that, sturdy, metal hingies, logos + etched RB on lens
4) 10m HDMI <> HDMI, the first one I received was mini HDMI on one end, they sent me another one and I got an adapter for the first one.
Senfer UE.
Say the cable breaks, where can you get another?
I hate to make another thread on /g/ for this, but I think this requires discussion.
I mainly use OS X, have a Win7 desktop pc and a few linux distros on various smaller devices like rbpi's.
How come that with every iteration of windows, there are constantly posts and threads on how to disable a bunch of stuff that was added with every update/upgrade? For example, 7 has the annoying stickey keys and such, 8 has the metro crap, that you have to install 3rd party software for to disable it and now windows 10 comes with adware and other things that are annoying.
I never had this problem with OS X versions, of course I felt like tinkering with a few settings, but I never felt like I had to fully disable parts of my OS since it feels annoying, or just violates your privacy. Neither for Linux, even though messing around with that is fun, it basically comes with every annoying thing turned off, since most distros are barebones, not necessarily a bad thing.
Why do people put up with this Microsoft crap? Please explain it to me, because I don't get it.

People are retarded
>>54995682
> 7 has the annoying stickey keys
That was in XP too.
>>54995755
I skipped XP, was using OS X 10.3 at that time.
So chromium has stopped working on my latest build of arch. So I need to use a new browser in the time being as I do not feel like trying to fix it. What would /g/ reccomend?

So my wife was putting together her new computer and she put waaaay too much thermal grease on the processor and heat pipes, literally the entire tube of Arctic Silver. I have denatured alcohol to remove it but what is the best procedure to do so?
>>54995413
Rub it off. How is your wife that retarded?
Considering how stupid she is i bet she is hot as fuck
>>54995413
Use one of those water compressors, if it can remove the dirt of a car, I'm sure it will remove the grease
How can people say that iOS emoji look better than Android/Twitter emoji? iOS's look like low-quality early 2000s clip art. I don't get why I don't see more criticism.
Why isn't apple suing google or twitter for having almost identical emoji making the exact same poses?
Who gives a shit?
>>54995406
>ever using emojis
For those who have it, is it worth it?
I want to get a new 1440p 144hz monitor for the GTX 1080 I'm getting, but I haven't upgraded anything since 2012, so this is all new to me.
>>54995392
It is worth it but be prepared to pay a couple hundred dollar premium for g-sync over freesync.
>>54995456
Not a problem. I mean, shit, I'm already paying $680 for a graphics card.
Got any recommendations? I wanted to go for a 27", but I'll take a look at anything.
Gsync is a complete gimmick. The vsync-like delay is terrible. Just use 144hz which is itself amazing.
Dadada.

Why should I use a binary tree when hash tables exist?
interview questions
>>54995142
Binary trees are a foundational structure, you don't use them directly. They just provide a simple foundation to build other structures out of.
Because you will use them for different things.

sup /g/,
is it possible to install spyware that runs outside the OS/before the OS boots and thus cannot monitor? If so, how likely do you think it is, that manufactured hardware already gets shipped in such a rigged state?
Discuss.
>>54994968
It's possible with modifying the BIOS or dicking around with GRUB, but it's hard. An easier solution is to utilize hardware USB dongles to capture keystrokes.
>>54994968
Check out rootkits, and tainted firmware
>>54995024
I've read about dropping binaries into the BIOS aswell but can this kind of stuff actually bypass a network sniffer?
