First Javascript triumphed in the browser
Then it rose to become lingua franca of the Net
OK, people said, we admit, Javascript won client-side, but for server side you still need PHP, Python...
Enter Node.JS - JS expands to server-side and triumphs there.
Then they said: OK JS wins client side and serverside but at least smartphone apps are written in Java, Swift, objective C, we're safe there.
And Javscript with NativeScript triumphs phone apps as well.
Seriously is there anything left for other languages? How can they even compete?
>NASA now admits it uses node.js IN SPACE SUITS
JavaScript literally to the moon. Pic. related.
How do you feel JavaScript coders, when you were ridiculed for being fags and not real programmers etc. and now you're elevated to NASA status?
>>55040300
Also, check the dubs.
>people on mars in fucking NODE.JS spacesuits
hillarious
>>55040300
I just lost my trust in NASA. Elon, don't fuck SpaceX up.
Can anyone ID this IBM vintage bag for me? Need to know the size and shit if it can fit a T520 inside
It's a pre-2000 vintage IBM Messenger bag by IBM
>>55040694
I garnered as much, no actual name/ID or part number?
I assume this is being sold online or something? Just ask the vendor for the inside dimensions of the bag.
this book is fucking hard.
I know I am retarded but I have to read things at least 2 times.
>>55040277
Same here, It's not really targeted for newbie.
>>55040277
Get C Primer Plus if you're new. The C Programming Language is definitely worth a read, but don't do it when you've never ever programmed before.
>>55040454
nice. Thank you.
How does one make one's compuiter and internet use as private, secure and anonymous as possible?
Which OS is optimal?
Is a VPN required? If so, which one do you recommend?
What kind of additional software and such would one need?
I spent too much time on this. Makes you really paranoid. I don't say proprietary software or Google is not bad, but at the end of they day, they help you so much.
Which VPN would you use for general torrenting?
>>55040264
what's your setup?
So is the RX 480 really going to be the ultimate mid-range card? I've heard different comments about its performance, but a month from now you'll be able to get a GTX 970/980 for the same price as it, and months from that it will face competition from the GTX 1060. Is it really going to hold up?
>mid-range card
It's entry level. Get a GTX 1070 if you want mid-range performance.
>>55040113
The 1060 will be half a 1080, or a rebranded 980. Not worth the money.
Nvidia filed for insolvency mate, go with the rx480
>Bought a VR box headset a few days ago
>Came with little bluetooth controller
>Like a wii nunchuk, only much shittier
Are there any better little bluetooth controllers for android phones out there? I've been looking around, and they all seem to have similarly crap quality
The modern PhoneJoy looks ridiculous, but the old school one was pretty nice
>>55040401
I'm trying to find something in that little keyfob size range, just with better quality.
>>55040031
Can you hook that to PC?
It looks like a good mouse alternative.
start to to learn python //codeacademy
don't undersand shit
>>55039988
This is the part where you just stop trying to learn to program and find a new interest.
>>55039988

solved ^^^
So I found a T-Mobile phone someone dropped, no one was nearby so I picked it up. How do I give it back to it's owner? Can't find any contracts etc its completely locked.
If I just drop it off at a local T-Mobile store, does it matter if it's a corporate store or a authorized dealer? I instinctively don't trust the authorized dealer as those are usually run by scumbags as phone repair/resale places.
>>55039852
Give it back shaniquellan
Alternatively, how does one bypass Google FRP?
>>55039852
Maybe give it to the police or the local lost-and-found office?
You're a good dude by the way.
What an amazing launch!
Thank you Nvidia
>>55039832
Reminder its only $379 and only $450 founders edition.
DON'T BELIEVE THE AMD LIES. NVIDIA IS THE BEST
>>55040497
Keep it up Nvidicuck

how do I properly hack my Epson Stylus Pro 4000, so I can clean it by printing a cartridge filled with solution? Right now it doesn't let me because a single cartridge is low. I imagine there are a few other perks to jailbreaking it as well.
Does it pay off to fix it and work with it, or are newer models more efficient in general?
>>55039821
Just buy bottled ink and inject the ink cartridge with a 5ml syringe. Used to do that with my HP D2660.
>>55039861
nice thanks for the tip!
got any more knowledge to drop on me? It's my first own printer, which I'm about to send to a company in LatAm and I want it to be in top condition for some years to come.
>>55039944
Use human blood to fill the red cartridges
It's cheaper than the official ink
Also buy a laser printer
For stupid questions
It looks to me like these wires should be going to a serial port, instead they're USB. Is it possible to connect this device to a serial port?
I fucked up, dont laugh
my 14.04 ubuntu was messed up, reinstalled it, but accidentally encrypted or something... long story short my hard disk got formatted and i didnt know, so i upgraded to 16.04 but that was making me go into grub rescue mode so i booted 14.04 from cd and cleared my whole disk again from gparted. Then i took out an old windows 7 cd from 2009 and installed windows 7
anyway, should i upgrade to windows 10 or keep windows 7? i mainly use my computer for gaming. I dont play new games so w7 should run anything i wanna play.
Or should i try to reinstall 16.04
Why are old shows such a large file size?
They're a lower resolution, is it a codec thing?
I'm downloading 20 episodes of a show and it's 50gb.
So what were some of the dumbest strategies and products conceived in the history of tech companies?

Dead on arrival tech general?
Does anyone think it would be easy do-able to reposition the SSD brackets from the Corsair Obsidian 450D to these places so you can show off the front of the SSD's through the window? And if so how?
I can't find anything about it on google
>>55039719
I thought maybe if you can remove the brackets I can simply mount them with double-sided tape to the back panel of the PC. But then you pull them off whenever you open your PC which kinda sucks. Maybe I can just unscrew them and screw them to the side like pic related?
Anyone with a 450D that can help me?
>>55039755
yeah it's not an entire project. Big chance someone on /g/ has the 450D
>i53570K
>replace arch with gentoo
how long will it take to a have a fully fledged DE and Chrome running?
Probably 3 hours at the very least depending on the DE you go with.
GNOME/GTK based will be much quicker to built than KDE/QT but depending on your flags you may end up building a GTK DE env and still building monster that is QT making the time much more.
8 hours max.
Should have stayed with Arch unless you have extreme mental disorder requiring Gentoo, the time building it all once will never be gotten back in your lifetime assuming you never rebuilt/updated anything ever again so all you do is piss away time and money (in power usage).
>>55039310
Why? Ubuntu installs itself to a SSD in two minutes.
