Apple just annouced Swift Playground which is designed for the coding education for non-developers. I don't have experience coding in the Swift, but it seems like a progressive thinking to teach coding skills to ordinary people. so /g/, do you think that the Swift is appropriate language to achieve the educational goal that people actually make their own programs and use it in their real life?

Well, I don't play games a lot but that project could be successful and they can endorse VR more because consumers don't like a lot of choice and M$ will just put a "VR ready" sticker on it. It might be interesting because if I'm not mistaken only PCs can run VR at the moment and consoles need to catch up in terms of graphics power for any serious VR gaming that can be compared to current VR.
But I don't follow VR/console news so I might be wrong.
What GPU chip will be used for this?

What are some mindblowing /g/-related things that you discovered recently? It never occured to me to use the HOME and END key. They let me jump directly to the to or the bottom of a page. I have also never used "Scroll Lock" or the "Paus" key before. If someone knows what they do or what could be done with them please do tell.

Let's discuss laptop batteries and battery life.
My laptop is over 9 years old now, but it still gets like 3 hours of battery life from the original battery that came with it. I get the impression that this is unusual, since most old laptops on ebay and other sites are listed as having dead batteries.
How old is your laptop, and does the original battery still work?
