So what disks does /g/ swear by? What has failed? Longest living hard drive you have?

Does anyone here have toshiba x300 disks? They are cheap (£140 for 6tb) but I can't find any reviews of them anywhere for some reason.

Personally I have 4x4tb WD meme reds which I regret buying because they're expensive and slow as shit. The 3x3tb Toshibas on the other hand only cost me £65, half of a 4tb Red and much much faster and don't run much hotter although they're 7200rpm.

Seashit reporting in.

It's been 'failing' for 3 years but still just twerks.

It's the glorious barracuda 7200.11, 3 of them died quickly but this one seems bomb proof.

I have 3 hard drives 2 of witch are stand-ins for something else.

1x Maxtor 8Mb 7200rpm 40GB HDD made 1999
(failed on me 3 times in 2015 Very loud now bearly even boots corruption everywhere thing is too subborn to die)

>(replacing with SD card did testing today passed with impressive results at 80mb/s read need to clone the disk and use 4adapters to get it to go and yes it all works with all four adapters)

1 3tb HDD Seagate less than 5 months old using it as a stop brake for very large storage for now, brand new. .(replaces exact model dated 15 years old again just 7500 writes no bad sectors never had a problem like ever.)

60GB fujistsu IDE Laptop drive)
( having problems being external drive keeps erasing it self on power off super annoying fuck IDE unstable shit first platter showing signs of failing)

1 WD 500GB 5400RPM disk read errors everywhere same age as the seagate died right on end of warranty loud as fuck and shit at everything
now paper weight lol.

1. 20GB IBM HDD 7200 RPM
this thing woun't fucking die or lose data 25 years and still no error just fucking die fucking HDD shit. (now powers my "smart" washing machine)

not long until in stop being on the HDD master race

An anti-oppression dongle shield. You use it when you have to use a USB flash drive with a computer that may or may not have been used by a cis-gender shitlord whose sadistic hate speech is designed to tear apart the fragile fabric of society as we know it.

I'm trying really hard to come up with something, and all I can think of is it must me some kind of a scam where people are told this stops viruses.

You can't play a fullscreen flash video on lincux without it lagging or glitching in some way.

I would literally switch to lincux RIGHT NOW if someone FIXED FLASH for it. it works flawlessly on OS X and Windows... WHY can't lincux do this simple thing right??

fuck html5, flash is fine and most of my animu websites dont support it.

Just download the anime, watch it in better quality on a normal (secure) player.
>>
>>55203754
then i have to waste my time DOWNLOADING before watching. with streaming, i dont download shit and have to stare at a blank loading bar for 20 minutes.

>inb4 slow connection

Is AMD going too slow with zen ?
Im sure Intel will catch up to them by the time they release it since they have more than 10X of their R&D budget

Can someone post that "i am zen' gif

Catch up with what? Skylake refreshes?
>>
>>55203851
Shouldn't be too hard for AMD to catch up, but they always find a way to fuck up.
Even if ZEN lives up to the hype, only "le tech sawy people" will buy them because AMDead has bad reputaion around the typical goyim normies

Lumia 950/950XL users: What is the current state of the phone, as well as Windows 10 Mobile? When the phones launched, there were numerous reports of OS glitches, apps crashing, etc., but that was the better part of a year ago. Has it improved? How do you feel about the phone/OS today? (Obviously, the app selection is still poor, but I assume anyone who bought a 950 was aware of this before hand.)

The fires of hell have possessed my mobo.

I'm getting insane mobo temps...wondering if my PSU is fucked up, providing inconsistent voltages or something...

All components are brand new.

Everything else is showing up as cool as fuck. Is this just a software/BIOS error?

Pic related, here's the full Speccy report + voltages for the mobo...am I going to burn to death, /g/? Please tell me I'm just a stupid faggot and this is nothing to worry about.

relevant: I'm using a cooler mater seidon 120...wondering if somehow the heat from the copper block is being transferred to the mobo via the mounting bracket/screws...the low CPU temp is what's confusing me...
>>
>>55203417
Its an error
For example it might not even have a thermometer, or it might have one but its defective, dont worry you wont ever need to check mobo temperatures
You should have use /sqt/ anon-kun!

Thanks, I might do so if I start getting random crashes or other bullshit.

>only account for 4% of the total population

So how come it's ok for Asians to be grossly overrepresented in the tech sector, but if white people are even slightly overrepresented, even by a couple of percent, it's a great social injustice and an offense to society?
