Hi /g/.
I'm a novice sysadmin and I've been assigned to migrate our medium sized mail server to IceWarp.
Should I go with Windows or Linux? If Linux, which distro? Being in a large corporation I can ask for almost any hardware and other software I want. Thanks.

>icewarp

>>55218484
I would have probably gone with that, but we already had the enterprise license before I started working here and they were planning for it for a long time now.
>>55218516
use what you are most comfortable with
>mfw turn off reading mode after 2 weeks
>mfw turn off redshift at 2500 after 6 months.
>mfw installing Arch
>>55218418
I had to turn it back on. I couldn't bear the blue.

The points are barely relevant and make any sense
I guess you can do worse but seriously these people learned what they know about programming from second or third-hand accounts. It's about as relatable as going "Us gamers amright?!? Mountain dew doritos 360 noscope"

Is Lynda.com good for learning programming /g/?
I am looking into C and Python. But some assistance would be much appreciated.
>>55218343
No. It's trash.
You're better off with Youtube or Udemy.
>>55218343
>i just finished watching LinusTechTips™, the thread
You can torrent the their videos.
I'm an idiot, almost every year I think I have a virus and reset my computer, then realize it wasn't a virus. I then spend my whole night downloading steam, my games, battlenet, etc.
Do I have a problem /g/?
(also my first time posting here)
yes, you have a problem
>>55218318
what, are you twelve?

Hey /g/ I just bought a new ddr4 2133mhz kit , i wanted to know if this one Overclocks any good
Also General Pc parts thread

kys my man
Getting ram that's that slow.
For over clocking.
Wew
return it and get at least a 3000mhz kit or a high clocked ddr3l kit. jedec spec speed = bottom of the barrel and won't overclock well at all.
After being robbed recently, I've decided that deep web marketplaces are my best option at this point, however, i want to make sure i have the safest setup so I'm not tracked. Any tips on vpns and whatnot?
>inb4 tell 2012 it wants its browser back
Pic unrelated, just didnt have anything to actually use that is related
>>55218153
use one

Rethink your life before you get murdered.
>a startup based on minecraft
This is the umpteenth time that an organization has tried "Minecraft for XYZ." Welcome to modern capitalism: the money gets passed around through the creation of total bullshit. It's at the core of every market bubble. Make stuff up as an excuse to get "funding" and walk away with all the money.
But this is all for >>>/biz/.
>>55218015
You have me intrigued. I'll check out that board that I didn't even know existed. How slow does it move?
Programming in minecraft on the pi is the main thing that encouraged my 12 year old protoge to get into programming.
Startup shit is cancer and history will remember it as a failed concept.
Want to get a small laptop to fuck around with Arch Linux(Manjaro) What do you suggest besides a T420, Anything will do right?
Anything will do as a possibility. But what you should then do is research that possibility's hardware and find out ahead of time what kind of support you can expect for it.
>>55217975
>Arch Linux(Manjaro)
That's like saying Debian(Ubuntu)
Another one bites the dust!
Why don't you /g/ackoffs compile your Linux distro? isn't that the whole point of "Free-as-in-freedom?"
And you wonder why the NSA never needs to work for your data.

>>55217890
Linux is open source ware. Linus doesn't give a shit about freedom.
>>55218000
That's why it's GPLv2 right?
How's it break down for you /g/ ?
1% Google
49% 4chan
50% reddit
>>55217888
Is that per month? Or what?
I don't keep monthly logs of my bandwidth per category (unfortunately), just of total bandwidth. (Which is a few hundred GB per month)

Would you have liked Ubuntu more if it hadn't been revealed to be part of an Amazon botnet?
>>55217806
>have liked
American education at it's finest.
No.
I don't like it because it has outdated software in repos, and it tries to shove GUI down the user's throat, even though cli seems to be better from my experience. I just hate it when GUI breaks, and it takes a lot of effort to change a single setting.
Yes, absolutely.
It would be great to recommend/give to new or stupid Linux users if it wasn't for the Amazon botnet. It's not right to recommend it anymore though.
is there anyway to connect a cheap RGB led strip to a computer and have the computer control its output?
>>55217794
I believe so, but you would need something that connects both worlds, such as an Arduino.
Raspberry pi my friend or a non-sjw counterpart.
>>55217794
You could always try not putting leds in your computer like a 14 year old.

How does this sound so good?
Almost all other music on YT sounds much more compressed.
My DT990's don't reaval any audible compression, but I thought Youtube only went up to 128 AAC?
Audio
Format : AAC
Format/Info : Advanced Audio Codec
Format profile : LC
Codec ID : 40
Duration : 3mn 45s
Bit rate mode : Variable
Bit rate : 192 Kbps
Maximum bit rate : 203 Kbps

>Bit rate : 192 Kbps AAC
Cool.
That's odd though. I didn't think YT went that high.
okay, that's actually fairly impressive.
