What's wrong with having emojis with bright yellow skin instead of five different skin tones for every emoji?
No one without severe jaundice has bright yellow skin, so no one can complain about being excluded and with only one skin color we can reduce the number of emojis significantly.
>>55224698
Because retarded SJWs control the world. Jews, step up your game.
When will 4chan support emojis?
>>55224698
What bothers me is that the family emojis are all yellow skinned. Why are there no mixed race families? WTF is this?
Should I get a GTX 1070 for more overall power, or the RX 480 for the amazing price point? I CAN'T DECIDE . . . .
Two 480s running in SLI will give you better performance than a 1080 for only 30 bucks more than a 1070, just something to consider.
Definitely wait for reviews and benchmarks to come out on both cards, but if you have the money and both cards are as good as they are hyped up to be, go for 1070
>>55224635
480, since Vega's coming will quickly depreciate the 1070. Especially since Pavel is Maxwell die shrink so little overclockablility
>>55224847
this
If you can afford the 1070, wait for Vega since it will BTFO of Pascal, plus great overclocking
Hey /g/, I'm hoping somebody with more Linux knowledge than me could give me some input.
I have a home server running Debian jessie off of an USB3 flash drive. Things started going wrong and I noticed that / had been mounted read-only during normal runtime. I got this shit in dmesg, indicating some FS errors (it's ext4, obviously):[1987815.246293] EXT4-fs error (device sdg2): ext4_iget:4087: inode #785182: comm bash: bad extra_isize (3988 != 256)
[1987815.253209] Aborting journal on device sdg2-8.
[1987815.254240] EXT4-fs error (device sdg2) in ext4_reserve_inode_write:4923: Journal has aborted
[1987815.261218] EXT4-fs (sdg2): Remounting filesystem read-only
[1987815.402643] EXT4-fs error (device sdg2): ext4_iget:4087: inode #785182: comm bash: bad extra_isize (3988 != 256)
...
So, obviously there's some corruption, I don't know if the USB drive went bad or not. The machine is still up right now with / mounted as ro. What I want to do is make sure I don't lose my configured OS install.
I'm thinking I should just shut down the server and fsck the drive on my desktop and see what happens, any better ideas?
Should I back up config files and shit, is there a chance I won't be able to mount it at all if I turn my server off now?

I have the exact model that everyone claims to be the one which caused this chart.
I have no issues whatsoever with it. Hell, I even dropped it from a good 30 odd inches up and it still works fine.

I could for low tier Humble Bundle (1$)
What is /g/ waiting for anons?
Me this...
The hype train has no brakes!
I have a one plus one with OMNI, it works way better than the stock one plus two that my friend has, so I have no interest in the 3 whatsoever

What's your anon's opinion on matrix keyboards? Are they a meme?
Also, how hard is it to transition to a keyboard like picrelated (Terminus Mini)? It only has 46 keys, insanity.

It's an Apple product.
the 8GB RX 480 is available for notification on newegg
so, does that mean the 8gb models are launching on June 29th?
hope I get paid by then....

What does /g/ think about GirlsWhoCode's videos? https://www.youtube.com/user/GirlsWhoCode/
I think you should go advertise somewhere else
They need to be stopped.
Bunch of attwhores, nobody cares if you can code or not.
There are no girls on the internet.
What did Zimperium mean by this?
You're vulnerable because you install and open proprietary apps like this one that could be doing anything to your system without your knowledge.
W-what did my phone mean by this?
Seriously, WTF? I thought Stagefright was mostly over. How can I have 37 vulnerabilities even though I have such a recent patch? Not rooted.

Botnet ROM
Windows 10 user here. I just looked up the TCP connections and the IP's in the list range from Google to Facebook and some other shitstains.
Now I don't use Chrome or Facebook, so why the fuck are these fuckers linked to my local ports?
I thought the botnet was a meme. This is some nigger shit.
Liar
What?
>>55224140
I just checked with my room mates who are using Windows 10, these strange IP's with no name are showing for them as well. When we do IP lookup, they are mostly linked to Google, Facebook and advertising companies.
If you are on Windows 10, go to your task manager > performance > open resource meter > network > tcp connections
Look at the IP address and ports that are currently in use.
R8 my specs? I paid 600 dollars for it.

They are pretty budget
I'm a biologist -> computational biologist.
I knowPerl, Python, R
I am pretty experienced for most biologist->computational biologists out their (we tend to see a lot of compSci -> computational biology, which generally has a poor grasp on biology)
I do a lot of string manipulation and file parsing. This is why I know Perl
I would like to learn C++ because it's faster. I'm looking for resources that will aide me (programming for 5 years).
What books do you recommend for an experienced programmer who wants to do a lot of file parsing in C++.
For example this is a script I typically write in Perl#!/usr/bin/perl
use strict; use warnings;
undef my %alleles;
foreach my $f (glob("bed/*.bed")){
my @f = split /\//, $f;
my $iid = pop @f;
$iid =~ s/_alleles\.bed//;
open IN, $f;
while(<IN>){
chomp $_;
my @r = split /\t/, $_;
my $k = join "\t", @r[0 .. 3];
$alleles{$k}++;
}
close IN;
}
open OUT, ">all_alleles.txt";
foreach (sort keys %alleles){ print OUT $_,"\n"; }
close OUT;
Obviously I do perform some CPU limited tasked (not in this script) but I envision I will benefit from C++. I also write tools (in python/cython) and would like to use C++ too.
**What books or resources are there that can help me learn how to do I/O operations and string manipulation in C++. I am somewhat experienced. Thank you /g/**
>>55224093
>their
Sorry lads there. I am dyslexic
>>55224107
>moar
So one example I can think of this parsing the allele depths for SNPs.#!/usr/env python
ref_depth={}
alt_depth={}
with open('HG00096_SNP.vcf','r') as f:
for l in f:
if l.startswith('#'): continue
r = l.rstrip('\n').split('\t')
format=r[8].split(':')
ADP_IND=0
for x in xrange(len(format)):
if format[x] == 'ADP': ADP_IND=x
allelic_depth=r[9].split(':').split(',')
if len(allelic_depth) != 2: continue
allelic_depth=map(int,allelic_depth)
if ref_depth.get(r[0]) == None: ref_depth[r[0]]=[allelic_depth[0]]
else : ref_depth[r[0]].append(allelic_depth[0])
if alt_depth.get([r[0])==None: alt_depth[r[0]]=[allelic_depth[1]]
else: alt_depth[r[0]].append(allelic_depth[1])
import numpy as np
for chrom in ref_depth:
print '{} REF MEDIAN {} REF MEAN: {}: {}'.format(chrom,np.median(ref_depth[chrom]),np.mean(ref_depth[chrom])
print '{} ALT MEDIAN {} ALT MEAN: {}: {}'.format(chrom,np.median(alt_depth[chrom]),np.mean(alt_depth[chrom])
So this is a little simplistic but as you can hopefully see I am doing quite a bit of file parsing and manipulation of the lines. But I could also improve my code with using C types. I have used Cython but would like to learn C++ for tasks similar to this code.
>>55224333
There are some errors in that script. But forgive me. I hope you saw what I am getting at.
