>people buy AMD GPUs for budget builds usually because they're supposed to be better value
>reviewers test the cards with the most powerful cpu available to regular consumers like the 5960x or 6700k
>people buy the budget AMD card with a budget cpu
>people suffer horribly from AMD driver overhead
What's the point of AMD? They're no good in the budget end because of the driver overhead, and they're no good in the enthusiast tier because Nvidia flagships usually perform better.
When will they fix their drivers? Or will they just force dx12 down our throats instead?
If they fix their drivers, both on windows and Linux, they will be a viable option for many people who understand the issue and go with nvidia because of it.
When will intel make a CPU fast enough that AMD's driver overhead isn't a big deal?
>Why do people buy AMD?
Tinfoil hats, autismos, hipsters, and fanboys.
There really is no logical reason to buy AMD, most people do it out of something stupid like "muh nvidia gimping meme"
>>55277635
>using GameWorks game to conclude AMD sucks
What are your thoughts on Chromebooks?
Do you use or have one?
They're dogshit, I wouldn't use one even if given to me for free. Basically just a botnet laptop with a mobile OS somehow worse than android.
>>55277506
Working in IT for my college I have learned one thing. Chrome book users are even more retarded than the MacBook users.
>>55277525
>botnet laptop
what laptop OS isn't a botnet
>He didn't buy an MLC SSD
I bought an HDD instead.
Excepting a head crash any minute now.
V-NAND is far superior.
HOWEVER as long as you have a high capacity MLC SSD then that's fine too. It's the best choice when shopping for a budget SSD too. I saw the 480GB Sandisk SSD Plus for $99 last week.
>tfw you did not fall for the tlc flash meme
Samsung 830 here, I remember alot of ssd having big controller issues back them. Also the people fell for the ocz meme.
>install program on PC
>it opens automatically
>close it
>it opens up again
>close it, kill all processes associated with it
>start getting notifications from it
>wait, I installed this on Android, so this is actually normal
Who thought this was a good idea?

Remember,
If you can easily root your phone, so can they...
Distance is a non issue.
Might as well root it yourself and at least place some rudimentary defenses.

/g is not your personal tech support forum.
Also you are so retarded that I cannot believe this is not bait.

Can you take the brain from your current body and put that in the trash can you got?
>>55277081
No. That one uses an AMD processor, it can only accept processors that use the AM3+ socket. Honestly, if you haven't gotten the computer get I'd return it. Both Intel and AMD are releasing their new processor generations soon, and AMD is switching to a new processor socket so if you buy a computer now, you won't be able to upgrade to AMD's new processors.
>visit website
>have to click 15 times to make shit usable
what is the point of shit retarded shit and all the other autismalistic addons like it, when you are not a deep web pedo or druggie?
just stop using it then faggot, and don't come here and update your blog every time your panties get all bunched up and you get slightly triggered

You ever think there is more to life than buying tech shit
If you want there to be.
I treat my life like I'm counting down to death. I do not function well within social norms. I have fully accepted this.
If you are capable of finding more to life, then there is more.
You have to give life it's own meaning.

Rx480 would be a decent upgrade, a gtx 1070 would be a bigger upgrade
Is programming just memorization? how long did it take you to become a competent programmer? I've been programming for a few days now and all I've managed to do is memorize a few lines of code, i don't feel like I've learned anything.
>>55276312
did you write the same program over and over again?
>>55276326
don't we all? all we do is bind UI elements to database entities
>>55276326
for most of the lines of code, yes. i can write a program that that downloads a pic if you input a url and other more useless programs, but i do it purely by memorization, when i write codes i have no idea what they mean or why they're in a particular order.

What kind of chair do you sit in while you use the computer?
$20 shitty office chair with a pillow for lumbar support.
I lay in my bed.
When I use my desktop (very rare that I don't access it remotely from my bed), I use this awesome chair from Wal-Mart. It's the only one that didn't break after like a week of use.

actually pretty comfy
Plus what's a good non-meme laptop for writing programs etc for uni? (uni being a meme not in question) I looked for myself, but shills and rumors of shills have me apprehensive. Not autisic enough to pretend that I know what I'm talking about before I go and learn about it.
>>55276160
chinkpads are memes, but good memes
so are IT and CS degrees, you're setting yourself up for an easy career
>>55276160
Non autist here. I have a BA in IS and work for fortune 100 as a systems engineer. I stay above the daily stresses of fires and uptime by being essentially a presales architect and consultant, but also get to see all the new stuff in my industry since I advise on it. Compensation is unfair given I started right out of university; if you have the personality for it would recommend .
>>55276160
>Is a career in IT and CS a meme?
Yes, very much so.
>What area are you in
Embedded applications development.
>would your recomend?
Not even slightly.
