Let's talk about this shit like reasonable adults and intolerable /v/irgins at least attempting to impersonate reasonable adults.
When will AIB 1070s actually retail for at least only slightly above their MSRP?
>>55308427
Get a 1080
>>55308446
I don't want a 1080.
>>55308427
When they stop selling like crazy which, considering AMD have failed to deliver a compelling alternative, isn't going to be any time soon.
I'm so sick of losing bros. I've tried to stick by them but I can't handle another disaster on par with pic related. I just can't. They've had my loyalty since that first ATI Radeon card came with my $200 Laptop that I got in early 2010 on my 12th birthday. But I think it's time to move on. I don't want to blindly follow if they're just going to turn around and spit in my face again like this. I won't. All I wanted was a VR ready card for less than $200 that could at the very least play Witcher 3, a year old game, at 60 frames per second. But they couldn't even manage that. I'm done.
What was the reason you first decided to buy an Nvidia card?
>brand whore
Fucking kill yourself.
>>55308081
>/g/ - Idiodic Gaymurs
I swear I am never buying an nvidia product again. With the number of shills they flood this board with at key times (product launches) it makes /g/ fucking unreadable.
Nvidia and your shills can you please go shit up some other website.
Lets face it, webdev is cancer and most 'serious' programming these days is done by Pajeet-tier code monkeys or literal street shitters, while the actual wizards go into networking.
>requires knowledge of both software and hardware
>in charge of millions of shekels worth of servers and equipment
>have to plan and set up everything based on projections and later patterns
>responsible for how millions of people access your company's services
>have to balance accessibility with security
>have to account for legacy software on thousands of user machines
>have to stay in the know about the latest vulnerabilities
>turd-world skids and ching chongs always trying to fuck with your shit
>work in realtime when something goes wrong
>can't be replaced by automation or incompetent diversity hires
How can code monkeys even compete?
>pic related, some programmer's soon to be replacement that he'll have to train
>>55307827
i've been a system admin, a network admin, a programmer, and now i study computability in academia.
every trade is retardedly easy. networking, systems administration, systems architecture. programming. it's all watered down crap. the only challenge left in the world is in academia, pushing the boundaries of the state of the science of computation.
>>55307955
oh, and i also worked as an "Intrusion Analyst" for 3 years at a major cyber security firm who's name rhymes with firefly
I'm a programmer.
I've made various attempts to understand networking and I failed miserably.
So yeah. As far as I'm concerned, it's wizard stuff.
Which one of you posted this ebay listing?

kek. wouldn't touch that with a bargepole.
>>55307321
This listing shows that someone read about that shit on this board, decided to try it out and didn't like it, so they're selling it.

Fingerprinting thread, I won't stop until we have a solution edition.
https://browserprint.info/
http://panopticlick.eff.org/
Browserprint has some new tests, you might want to check that out.
Remember, kids, disabling JavaScript is cheating, since many sites require JavaScript to work and fingerprinting code can be included in that mandatory JavaScript.
A blog post about fingerprinting users instead of browsers and devices, could there be a future in this?
https://browserprint.info/blog/userFingerprinting
Some kind anon many threads before posted a link to a story that indicates Google is injecting fingerprint code into their CAPTCHAs.
https://archive.is/9K5gs
This means that the majority of 4chan users could be being fingerprinted, and Google might know about your shitposting habits.
To fix this you can get a pass (which allows you to be tracked by 4chan in a different way), or you can trust the 4chan X extension and use that to run 4chan with all JavaScript disabled.
Daily reminder to do all your Facebook / Youtube / LinkedIn / botnet shit in a completely separate browser to your Googling or buying shit.
It's currently the ONLY way to truly defend against fingerprint tracking.
Double points if you have each browser running in a different VM with a different OS.
Triple points if you have each browser's VM configured with a different VPN.
The Tor Browser Bundle is still susceptible to many fingerprinting attacks that can uncover your true OS and browser.
Spoofing your user-agent is counterproductive unless you use a different user-agent for every site, even if you rotate them every x HTTP requests.

HAS ANYBODY ELSE SEEN THIS SHIT?
>Microsoft has made a seemingly small yet completely bizarre tweak to Windows Update on Windows 7 and confirmed it is crippling many users’ PCs.
>The tweak? It switched the status of Windows 7 update KB3133977 from ‘Optional’ to ‘Recommended’. The bizarre part? Despite acknowledging the problems, Microsoft knew they would occur in advance and it has no plans to do anything about it.
http://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonkelly/2016/05/04/microsoft-warns-windows-7-boot-up-problem/#72ebefdf395e
My PC has been having trouble booting up in the past few days and I'm freaking out. I don't know whether it's a hardware issue or just related to this update. Coincidentally, this started happening AFTER i installed that update. Though my motherboard isn't an ASUS.
Can I uninstall that update (or any update for that matter) without it having any negative side effects?
Yes. Google how.
>>55305345
Who here is actually stupid enough to download any update on windows 7 without first vigorously researching it first? None of them can be trusted, especially the "recommended" ones.
Half of what has been released in the last year is best hidden and never downloaded.
>>55305388
This.
If you're forced to use it at work the sys admin should research everything first anyway. Automatic updates are disabled.
If you're at home it's your own god damn responsibility. Automatic updates are disabled too.
There is no reason to turn on automatic updates on ANY program, especially not payware, closed-source and in the case of Windows, spyware.

Has anyone here taken the Juniper JNCIA cert exam? I've been in a two day crash course and have my exam tomorrow. Is there anything I should watch out for or check over? I've heard it's pretty tame but I will be studying all night for it... Not really sure what to expect. I'll take a few practice exams online and see how I do. Any advice at all is welcome... thanks!
Please don't fail me /g/
>>55304738
Don't take juniper anon, those certs are about as much worth as the /g/nu certs.
If you want into networking, then start with a CCNA.
>>55304985
/thread
yes nothing is better than cisco networking... you have options that you will never have by any other network company. CCNA is a great start, try it.
