It's been going pretty well, both UE4 and Unity can target Linux as a platform and there are plans to port both editors to it.
In the end it's just a matter of time, it's easier to optimize software on Linux than on Windows, thus the gap on performance between both systems is closing down, eventually Linux will surpass it and that day you will see the Linux adoption skyrocket.

What's a good advanced linux distro that doesn't have a retarded "le advanced user" install system? I have been thinking about using debian, but the packages seem to be too old. And if I am forced to use the "hard way" for installing, is Gentoo actually any good?

It's almost 25 years since the Linux kernel was released for the first time, and we still cannot have a decent desktop experience

Do not waste your money on this ridiculously lousy piece of shit phone. I bit and bought this garbage about 2 months ago because of the "awweeessommmeee superr duper charging capabilities!!!!" and now the battery isn't worth dog shit. I have no apps on this phone and the battery slowley went from charging to 50% in 10 minutes -- to charging to 50% in 3 hours-- THEN to not charging at all. Kicker is: I went into the store like "Man where's my replacement, can I get a replacement??" and this fat sack of piss told me that it was just a little error and it needed to charge overnight. Viola it didnt work and it didnt charge. Funny thing: I was in there getting another phone and another person came in with the same problem.

If you want a real community, real updates, great design patterns, then Django is your best choice for Python web frameworks.

But seriously it depends on what you want to do with Django and where your knowledge level is.
If you are just learning Python and need something simple to help you learn it, Flask is pretty good for that.
If you want to write a site or API that is extremely easy to maintain / scale / extend and has a built in client admin panel that grows with your code and has a built in ORM that lets you design and maintain your database in Python code instead of SQL.. Django is the only real option.
If you want the complexity of Django without any of the built in advantages of Django, and clown / mummy T-Shirts then Pyramid/Pylons is for you.
