Why care about tinkering with software or hardware when everything is a completely walled garden with limited functionality? I remember getting a computer at the age of 9 in 2001. The web was at some sweet spot of having enough functionality to do cool stuff but without a monoculture.
All this computer stuff today seems like picrelated.

What's the must-have privacy addons other than uBlock and descentraleyes?
All I know is I just installed Waterfox from the AUR and it apparently uses the Firefox chrome, so all my bookmarks and extensions are already there. And since the word on the street is Waterfox is better at privacy I see no reason not to make this my default browser.

Social Media is literally botnet. So why are you afraid of chrome or windows?
as the subject says ,but to go more in depth. how would one not need to switch where there connected to with there VPN every time somthing may be blocked ?
as in if your from the USA and your VPN is connected to Germany and something you want to look up is blocked by japan. you would need to switch your VPN location to japan. as an example .
how would you not need to do this ? is there a way to get everything unblocked at all? almost like how there are some region locked devices like phones ,then there are ones that have no region lock at all. is there somthing similar to that in the form of VPN's or services ?
