I'm not that good, I think I fell behind when I was in middle school.

I'm good enough to pass my classes.
All that really matters.
>>55398732

If you would like to try out GNU/Linux you can do one of the following:
0) Install a GNU/Linux distribution of your choice in a Virtual Machine using VirtualBox or other software made for this puporse for safety purposes.
1) Use the Live ISO (if your distribution of choice has one) to boot directly into the GNU/Linux distribution without installing anything, that way, you can get to experience the GNU/Linux operating system without installing it.
2) Dual boot the GNU/Linux distribution of your choice along with Windows or macOS, this is recommended if you want to know more about the GNU/Linux operating system.
3) Go balls deep and replace everything with GNU/Linux.

Just opened this up, cleaned it, & replaced the sticks.
There any way to fix the old/worn-out analogue switches? Or should I just order some new ones & finally claim my soldering station from a relative?
I think this is the beginning of something beautiful.

Heya /g/ I'm sick of paying for a landline phone with my internet package because I never use it... Is there a way for me to drop the phone package and still get "superfast" 76Mb download speeds? Britfag BTW
Does Britain only have 1 telephone company?
>>55398465
Yes, the Royal Queen's Telecom.
>>55398500
Why don't you just call them.
So I bought a new monitor to go with my new GTX 1080 graphics card, however I've been noticing these strange horizontal lines that flash occasionally on screen for a fraction of a second. I had to record a video to take a screen shot of it. They happen no matter the resolution or refresh rate. My old monitor never did this, they occur randomly when I play some games. They don't look like screen tearing, anyone have any ideas?
The monitor I purchased is a
Dell Gaming S2716DG
Another pic, intro game screen when starting game. Close up
>>55398337
Thats part of the game you fucking retard. Your old monitor wasnt able to feature those effects
Guys,why can't I install windows 10(or any other Windows) 64-bit version?
When I try to run setup for x64,I get msg saying:"This app can't run on your PC"
>>55398271
Because a 32bit os cant run 64bit apps. You need to make a clean install you fucking retard.
>Winblows users cant even google
>>55398294
Thanks for being so polite.
How do I make clean installation?
>>55398311
How did you install Windows 10 in the first place?
ITT: Good /g/ memes
>>55398227
>T420
Small ass screen. If it was only a little bit wider, I would recommend it.
*crickets*
>>55398246
This is why the T520 is the true and proper king (among several other things). Plus, the panel is INFINITELY better than the legendarily bad garbage on the T420.
How do I get into IT, /g/?
I'm 27 and tired of being a wageslave.
If you get into IT you'll sill be a wagecuck

Any better suggestions? Money isn't much of an issue.
"This week, China’s Sunway TaihuLight officially became the fastest supercomputer in the world. The previous champ? Also from China. What used to be an arms race for supercomputing primacy among technological nations has turned into a blowout. The Sunway TaihuLight is indeed a monster: theoretical peak performance of 125 petaflops, 10,649,600 cores, and 1.31 petabytes of primary memory."
how can white people's supercomputers even compare?

USA has quantum computers.
China does not.
>>55398094
and? nobody understands quantum computers. so china's supercomputer beats that.
Serious question, what would a supercomputer even be used for in China?
Will I be cucking myself if I buy a 1080 for 1080p 144hz gaming?
Yes, get a 1070
Absolutely. Good luck running modern games at that refresh rate, even below 1080p, you'd have some trouble.
>>55397749
Em yes im playing 144hz on 1440p with 2x780 now calculate how much your single gpu and my both gpu's cost
/g/ how aesthetic is this ? How can applefags say their home screen is better than this ? Also general launcher thread and customising thread. I used Nova launcher prime . Was on sale for 99 cent
One finger swipe up for apps , two finger up for settings and two down for file explorer . Does /g/ like gestures?

Post yours then
If I got dualboot, can windows 10 go through my files on the other partition where my loonix are? Or do I need to encrypt b4 I'd ""upgrade"" to win10?
>>55397428
No, it can't.
Windows 10 most likely can't even understand the file system used by your GNU/Linux partition.
>>55397506
Its not NTFS for sure, as I remember
I'm in the market for a new mouse but I can't find anything decent with 6-7 extra programmable buttons.
MMO mice have too many buttons and I think they would just get in the way, while most gaming mice only have back/forward with the occasional programmable dpi switch buttons.
G700s
I bought a G602 for work because it had 6 programmable buttons plus dpi buttons. Works pretty good.
>would get in the way
They don't.
I've owned G600 for couple of years now, played some vidya back then, now it's been forever since I've played anything but I still love that mouse, programmable buttons are great even though I'm using just 1/3 of them now, the rest doesn't get in the way, I've never clicked anything accidentally.
And customer service is great, I had it plugged into faulty USB port so I raised an issue to Logitech, not knowing about my faulty USB port and they sent me a new one right away. Now I have two perfectly functional nice, one in black and one in white.
