Why isn't it more widely supported?

>often much smaller filesize than JPEG/PNG/GIF
>alpha channel supported for both lossy and lossless images
>animated images supported
>based on VP8 (used for WebMs)

I have been running a Windows 7 VM with Virtual Box. I am wondering is it possible to take that VM and install it on its own partition instead. If it is possible how would you go about doing it?

I don't think that will work.

it sometimes works, but that greatly depends on the target hardware. i have 50% success rate so far.

one pc works just fine, another one is stuck in reboot cycle and i have to reinstall from scratch.

Why don't you have a 4k ARM supercomputer yet /g/?

How long are you going to be an Intel Slave?

so the new version finally understands whether youre mocking your location or not, and the reason is is most likely because:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6880232/disable-check-for-mock-location-prevent-gps-spoofing/16776891#16776891

is there any way to spoof the gps in android without the explicit mock-executed code? or is there any way to spoof tinder without it actually cracking it? talking about new and future releases

Why would you want to spoof your frame rate in an app used for communication?

looks like i'll have to buy a phone just to use tinder now since i can't just use an emulator. thanks tinder.

think found the solution:

CAN THIS BE USED WITHOUT XPOSED REPOSITORY AND/OR FLASHING THE PHONE SOMEHOW? guess not

Is it possible to install and update Windows, install drivers for everything including printer, install a bunch of most-often-used software such as VLC, Firefox, Notepad++, etc. Create an image of that with Sysprep and burn it to USB and then use that to reinstall Windows from scratch with all latest updates and software already there? Or Sysprep can't do that?
Any large sized software will be kept separately on an external USB to install manually later. It's just the pain in the ass to go through updating Windows and installing driver with usual software one would use.

Search "slipstreaming". If you have a server, search "MDT". if you just want to image something you already built, search "macrium reflect", or "acronis". So easy to use Google, what's wrong with you?

What is your setup ?
I'm planning on buying the TP-Link TL-WR841N (pic related) and putting ddwrt on it. I want to be able to change the dns (pi-hole) and tunnel everything through a vpn. I don't need speed nor range. Any advice ?

Lets have a thread about search engines /g/. What do you use? Are ones like bing, startpage, DDG, yahoo search, searx, etc a good alternative to google? Are they botnet?

All search engines are botnets. I just use Google because I can't be bothered to use anything else.

All search engines are botnets so it's pointless to lose functionality by leaving Google.

I'm looking to get a new smartphone with a very good camera, preferably Verizon, but I'm willing to switch services if it there's a non-Verizon phone with a very good camera. Suggestions?

I'm considering the Galaxy S7 because the sample photos taken with it look really good (pic related)
7 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
That photo looks like shit and there's no such thing as a "really good cellphone camera."
>>
I think you should bought the samsung galaxy s7 or the Sony z5, they have really good cameras
>>
>>55507149
I don't expect high MP from a smartphone camera. Whats good about the photo I posted is that there is very little noise due to the camera's f/1.7 aperture lens making it capable of taking low-light photos. I don't think the S7 can be beaten as far as low-light photos because thats thew lowest aperture I've found in my research, but there are a lot of other specifications out there than just low aperture that can make a camera good.

What is your career preference in CS/IT? Code Monkey, Security, Networking, Professor, or something else?

Naturally as computer geeks, we have interests in all these things as I feel and most do, it's at least good to have knowledge in all CS fields. How do you allocate your time?

When did you realize CS or IT are the fields for you?

Has CS made you a NEET? If so, is it pretty much inherit in you anyway? Are your learnings mostly self-taught?

lol, code monkeys.

I'm a software engineer.
>>
Development consultant here. Would recommend.
>>
>>55506917
I like Security, Networking, even Help Desk.

>Tried to look for a job in this fields for 2 and a half years, avoiding code monkey jobs as I didn't want that.

>Tons of interviews, never hired.

>I give up and try to apply for a code monkey job even though I suck at it.

>Get hired in first interview

As for learning, what I said I like, half self-taught half school, programming mainly school as I never liked it that much.

Thinking about upgrading but i heard a good standard is to upgrade when you can get double performance

this is my first time dealing with this data-cap/throttle crap.

anyone have any experience with this kind of stuff? i know to try to avoid videos and big downloads, but do i really have to worry about hitting that data cap (60gb/mo) if i watch an hour or two of 720p youtube every day?

are npm/bower/github downloads going to buttfuck me?

not expecting much, just looking for general advice from someone who has had to use this kind of stuff for a while.

I used to have a 10gb cap with a Verizon hotspot (tethered to my pc) and all I did was spend time on the internet. Gaming, netflix etc. The only time I went really far over is when I would torrent shit constantly. The most I ever went over was maybe 30gb and that's becasue I download a bunch of games/movies and basically went crazy. I'm sure you'll be fine. What your bigger concern should be is how fast that shit is, and if you'll even be able to watch 720p.

i'm downloading tons of tv/movies/screencasts/docs/games before i go, and i'll be an hour away from decent internet so it should be fine.

reading reviews on plebbit and i'm horrified... it seems like once you hit the "anytime" data cap (10gb/mo) it throttles your speed to 0.2mbps...
>>
Have a friend who uses it. They recently upped him to 20mbps down idk up speed. I believe his cap is 250gb. Ask them about that package.

What useful can I do with this little piece of shitgate hdd?
It's only 20GB and it's IDE, so I can't really connect it to anything.

What's the issue with setting up 50 people around Area 51, and then flying in 50 drones from all directions all at once, taking pictures and videos, while live-streaming it all. You overwhelm the security, and get some juicy shots, even if half the drones get taken down.

Seems doable.

>juicy shots
all you're going to see is a few hangars, cargo planes and a run strip
>>
Good luck with the laser and radio jamming defenses.
>>
You'll get shot. Also Groom Lake is a testing ground for all sort of electronic warfare, you can bet your drones will fucking wreck themselves after 10 minutes.
You'd need an autonomous drone that doesn't rely on GPS if you really wanted to get some close-up footage.
You won't see anything interesting except for some Skunkworks prototypes if you're very lucky.
