>>55539857
Used Nexus 6. It's fucking huge and supports all the best ROMs.
>>55539888
>>55539869
thanks for your advise ^_^
and what do you think about huawei honor 5x
I got one of these suckers for free from work.
I already have a home server setup for Plex, backups, seedbox, etc.
Any use for this guy? i7 and 16gb RAM, so it's got a decent amount of power.
>>55539841
throw it away you already got plex, backups, seedbox
>>55539841
>i7 and 16gb RAM
Renderfarm node or virtualization
>>55539871
I was looking into virtualization - assuming I want something like vmware vsphere instead of just installing VMs via virtual box or something similar?
Why isn't there a CNC machine craze like the 3d printing craze?
I'm baffled, cnc milling has many pluses compared to 3d printing, material selection, precision, etc.
Sure 3d printing has pluses too but if I had to say, 3d printed stuff reflects a lot on this generation: weak, fragile, and tacky as hell.
Tldr: why aren't CNC machines more popular? The tech has been around since forever.
>>55539816
Not /g/ related. This is now a video card thread. Pic related
>>55539816
Operating a mil requires a degree of technical knowledge, its not just set and forget. Certain materials need to be cut at different speeds or you deal with tool heads breaking, or localized hardening on a part that will break while you're cutting it.
3D printing is just a meme for normies who have no real skill.
what switches are you using google chrome with?
I am using this and this is near perfect for 2 cores and integrated gpu
chrome.exe" --enable-native-gpu-memory-buffers --flag-switches-begin --enable-display-list-2d-canvas --enable-experimental-canvas-features --enable-gpu-rasterization --javascript-harmony --disable-zero-copy --gpu-rasterization-msaa-sample-count=2 --num-raster-threads=2 --disable-overlay-scrollbar --disable-smooth-scrolling --enable-features=V8Ignition --disable-features=AutomaticTabDiscarding --flag-switches-end
>--flag-switches-begin
>--flag-switches-end
What the fuck, why would they do this
>>55539750
>google chrome
Enabling JS harmony might not be a good idea oerformance wise. With thst polyfills won't fire and won't compile your code to more optimized ECMAScript 5.
Anyone here uses this monitor? Why is the speaker so fucking bad? Like there's literally no point in having one if it's going to be this quiet.
> Using rhe built in speaker
> Ever
Literally fuck off
>>55539678
Dude, just buy a set of cheap speakers. Pic related is what I use. You can get them for like $20 online and they sound fine.
>>55539748
Forgot pic, fuck me.
Did you know that Firefox gives your IP address to the websites you visit?
Why are people using it?
>>55539467
You can configure it so that it doesn't.

So the Oculus Rift is getting BTFO by Microsoft Hololens from the looks of it.
>>55539418
Who?
>>55539418
AR and VR are two different things you dumb fuck, it's like saying smartphones are BTFOing laptops.
>>55539418
The rift is an unmitigated failure thanks to Facebook taking over. That thing has no chance anymore, especially with the Vive raping it a new orifice every time sales figures are released.
>my dad infected the computer with locky ransomware

/fa/ here. I dont frequent this board because its full of neckbeards without any self respect and fashion style.
What's wrong with my phone? Should I get an iPhone? Can they get virus?

Nice projection.

No one cares, /g/ is not your personal technical support.
Is possible to make a non-botnet GNU/Linux?
Post your opinion.
>Gentoo includes installation recipes for a number of nonfree programs in its primary package system.

>Radeon Technologies Group spun off (read: ATI are independent again)
>Zen does OK
>Nvidia buys AMD (there were merger talks 10 years ago but they didn't want Jensen as CEO, AMD kept their spic CEO that ran the company in to the ground)
What could go wrong?
Nvidia have enough cash on hand to buy AMD at their current market cap.
Fuck off Kyle
There is no way Rajeet would have the authority to sell Radeon to Intel. Get that fucking tinfoil hat off.
>>55539010
Just watch it happen when Lisa Su gets sick of dealing with the street shitter
>>55538963
>Nvidias romantacize about an Nvidia x86 processor in their PCs again
Its not happening, bub. Microsoft, Samsung or some Chinese company would sooner buy AMD than Nvidia.
What's the best GPU for <250 $?
Why?
Is 256-bit a meme? Why? Why not?
What do you go after when chosing a graphics card?
Is it possible to edit video and render 3d with a card for under 250?
>>55538945
GeForce GTX 960 is looking favorable.
128-bit, but 7 010 MHz, 1 241 MHz frequenz GPU.
4 GB.
256bit is not a meme. It represents a bandwidth channel for GPU's utilization of memory and there is a noticeable difference with higher bandwidth across different configurations of texture units/rop's/shader units. Always shoot for 256bit - do not accept 128 or lower unless it's a fucking bargain. Even then, 128bit will usually bottleneck your gpu's ability to render shit if it's not a piece of shit to begin with. 192bit is usually going to be your best perf/dollar option for nvidias because they suckerpunch the price for 256bit and above.
>>55539048
That was what I was considering as well. So I did some googling and people kept saying it didn't really matter. But from what I understand, that could make much more use of the specs on the card.
Today I got the Gigabyte Radeon HD6950 2GB, it is 256-bit.
I was considering the GTX 970 4GB, or the GTX960, but most likely won't take that due to 128-bit.
