How do you deal with storage failure/backup /g/?
I have a 1tb samsung drive from like 2010 that I store a bunch of shit on and this morning it started making an awful click, that sound of an actuator arm smacking against the header.
The disk still read fine and when I looked at a performance monitor the drive was spiking to 100% whenever it clicked. I backed up everything that would be a huge bitch to replace and now, 8 hours later, the click is gone completely.
Can I still use this thing to store video and stuff on or should I put it away until I can replace it, because I don't really have a spare terabyte to back the whole fucking thing up. That's the problem with getting bigger and bigger drives, they all still shit themselves eventually!!

What is the best way to generate 8400 watts of electricity? Short of buying a fuel burning generator that is.
I'm trying to go off grid. I've worked out my average daily consumption to about 25-26 KWH per day. Yes that is heavy, but it's also counting the fact that I don't live alone, and there are 3 water boilers on the property, one of which runs about 3-4 hours a day on average, and one loafer at home all day. I also have a blacksmith forge, and occasionally use the arc welder for touch ups and structural welds. And electricity prices are hiking in my country, so I want to try going off grid.
Solar is too expensive. The cheapest quote I've gotten is about the equivalent of 7000 dollars without the inverters, so that's not gonna happen Any time soon, and I might do it little by little

Let's get one of these going.
This is a clock I'm planning on building soon. at each point in the grid there will be an led across anode and cathode, so that one LED will light up at a time to indicate seconds. The wire on the left then goes off to a repeat unit of this to show minutes, which then goes on to show hours etc. Just need some advice on whether this thing will function or not. I'll be using a 5v power supply I have lying around.

This is mostly due to mITX not really being popular till AFTER the majority of AM3 tech was finished up development, and even then, AM3 chipsets requiring so much more to physically be on the board, versus something like an Intel Chipset.
Try to get a hold of an ASUS M4A88T-I Deluxe off eBay or similar.
