What do you use?

Lenovo G400
Some HP businesstop something or other 840.
I use an Asus it's pretty nice. Probably shouldn't have spent the extra 200€ for i7 though
I'm looking for a program that simply changes pictures based on Mic input level. For example, it shows one picture when there is no sound, then changes to another when I start speaking. Does such a thing exist?
It exists if you make it you knobhead.
>>55560590
I'm shit at programming. I'd rather hire someone to make it.
>>55560719
Hire someone on Fiverr or something then...
>tell bittorrent not to download file
>downloads it anyway
Install Transmission.
>>55560530
Only some of the pieces i reckon.
Torrent clients download pieces and not files, if a file you don't want is in a piece that it needs for other files its going to get downloaded anyways because it needs the whole piece.
Why is wearing a watch a sign of masculinity?
Use your fucking phone brah, for real.
Since phones have been a thing, there's been NO NEED FOR A WATCH.
I don't want to draw my phone, press a button then holster my phone every time I want to see the time.
>>55560504
As a man, besides watches, what fucking accessory options are available?

Wincucks dont care abou technology. Gaumezz is their main concern
>>55560469
Because no one likes free things.
Case in point, the GNU/Linux desktop.

How unstable are Debian testing and unstable? I really like Debian, but the packages are ancient. I know backports is a thing, but only some packages are backported.
>>55560344
First of all you should not use testing ever. Reasons? Testing is stabilization branch for stable and that means developers work on it with no guarantees for the user. It's work in progress. This results in:
- Testing does not have security patches
- Tasting may not received package fixes for a long time
- Testing may have packages frozen in place because they are not planning on shipping latest in next stable
- Testing basically freezes in place for few months before next stable and is then flooded with unstable shit when cycle ends.
The only branch you want to use besides stable is sid (unstable). Sid is quite stable in daily use but you are expected to know how to fix shit when it breaks. It breaks rarely but it does sometimes break. Are you capable of dealing with situation of console on login rather then your desktop? If not, then don't go for sid.
>>55560511
>sid
At that point you might as well just use arch.
>>55560511
I'm perfectly fine with fixing things when they go wrong. My main concern was how often this was required, but it doesn't sound to be too bad. I suppose the only way to know for sure is to give it a go.

Dopamine rush when you solve a problem, while doing something that's actually productive, unlike drugs, which just fuck your shit up. So I just get high and code for the best of both worlds.
How fucked will I be if I go with a brand like ASUS, HP, AOC, or Acer instead of Dell for a monitor?
>>55560274
nice bait
You will most likely get a monitor that works.
Depends on the model. This is like thinking all Dell laptops are terrible, without considering a Latitude.
I'm quite happy with my Asus Pro Art
>1920x1200
>properly calibrated IPS panel
>fully adjustable stand that isn't a dainty piece of crap
>no glossy plastic

Hey /g/, does anyone have a list of the updates to avoid when updating w7? I reformatted and want to update what I can while avoiding everything related to w10 or unnecessary spyware and I'm having a hard time finding an archive with the information. In all honesty the spyware isn't that important to me, all I do is play eve and run ts3 but my shit keeps crashing.
love you /g/
>>55560163
just disable windows update
install gentoo while you're at it
>>55560177
I did, I'm just concerned some update I neglected is the reason running a modern eve client is causing crashes, as I could do it without a problem a year or so ago on the same machine.
