"Macs are overpriced!"
k
A Macbook is more than just the hardware. I bought a Macbook because I love the aesthetic design. The engineering effort that goes into an Apple product is amazing, and people ignore it because it uses consumer hardware you could find in other computers. It's insane and it's ignorant.
Using OSX is part of the complete package. A beautifully designed aluminum Macbook with an esquisite operating system, that's Unix-based (and I can develop HAPPILY on) and with a UI that was made with time and care. This wasn't a rushed product made by developers contributing to some FOSS project.
That's how I feel. Take it or leave it. As for price.... Apple has an entire team for just making it look pretty. There's a lot of money that comes from the extra effort they do in this part. If you can afford a Macbook, buy it. If not, then don't. But to judge others for spending a little more on a Macbook rather than a lot less on a plastic Thinkpad that they can put Windows or Linux on is not cool. If that's what you want, then you can have it. I like Thinkpads. But I sure as hell wouldn't judge someone for buying a Macbook.

Probably has a VST malfunction and inverter damage on the LCD.
Enjoy I guess. Not bad if you don't mind ddr2.
Does the bottom choice remove files on all of your drives?
no, if you click it you'll be prompted to specify which drives will be erased
>>55610261
No, just system stuff and configurations and application software too.
>>55610261
No, just the c: drive.
But if you're looking for a secure way to wipe your data, this isn't it.

Who here has an Alienware Graphics Amplifier (AGA)? I recently just got mine in the mail and now all I need to do is decide which graphics card I buy for it. I really want the new nvidia 1080 but I'm not sure which ones would fit in there. I have an Alienware 13 laptop with a 960m, which is almost comparable with the latest console graphics.
I know the founders edition fits but I'm also aware that some of the other models don't. Does anyone here have a 1080 in their AGA? I'm wanting to buy the EVGA 1080 SC, my only concern is that it won't fit! If anyone would be of any help I'd appreciate it greatly!

Before I pull the trigger, how hard is it to roll back to Windows 7 after "upgrading" to Windows 10?
there is literally a button for it in the start menu on Windows 10

Make a shadow copy, OP. How big is your OS drive?
It is easy, but I have heard some people have issues with their OS being corrupted due to the wrting/rewrites
Honestly, why would you use W10 though?
/g/,
I recently installed the UX Theme Patcher (or whatever it's called) on my PC. When I installed a theme, I restarted my computer as the theme did not work as intended.
Now every time I start up my PC I'm greeted with a flickering white light and I can't do jack shit except get into the BIOS and what-not.
Since it's Windows 10, the ol' "mash F8" trick doesn't work and I cannot get into safe mode. Please help.
>>55610133
Just install Gentoo, bro.
>Since it's Windows 10
Install gentoo

I don't want Linux on my computer. I just want to know how the fuck to fix this problem. ;(
Serious question to people who use Arch and other time sink systems: okay, you like Linux and want to use it, but why don't you use a distro that works out of the box like Ubuntu and its derivatives, so that you have time to also have a life, jobs, friends, and get fit?
>>55610121
Because arch isnt' hard to use.
>>55610121
Lot's of people use desktop linux who like to tinker and see how stuff works and just dick around setting up a cool homemade environment. It's a hobby. Nothing wrong with that.
>>55610121
you are a retard
there is getting it it to work which takes 10 minutes max,and then ricing it which takes forever
"4k resolution on a 5" screen should be standard" -Pocket now
Meanwhile my 17/19 eyesight can't see a difference from 720P to 1080P on a 5" phone.
Damn, trading battery life, phone speed, and phone cost seems worth it.
Phone reviewers are as bad as vidya game reviewers
>>55610028
If you put 1080p and 720p 5-inch screen side by side, and slowly get closer to both screens, you will definitely notice the pixelation on the 720p. And even at a distance, the 1080p looks crisper. It's subtle, but noticeable.
1080p should be a standard. 3500mAh+ battery should be standard as well.
Anything below 350 ppi is shit.

FAGGOT!
Hey /g/, what do you think of this build i've planned?
http://pcpartpicker.com/list/VHjj4C
>>55609616
You don't really need that much RAM, 16 GB is fine, it'll save you some money (~45 bucks)
That power supply is white hot shit, this CX series in general is horrible and you probably could step down to a 500W anyways. Look at EVGA's lineups. That'll save you another 40 or 50 bucks.
Overall looks good. If you can find an aftermarket 1080, it'd be ideal but there's nothing wrong with the FE other than being slightly slower/hotter and more expensive.

Do you still live at home with your mom?
Yes? The FUCK right off, NEET.
What a disgrace.
>>55609663
Thanks for the advice senpai, should i go with their 500W bronze or pay the extra 30 bucks for their supernova 550W gold?
Ironically less stable, more picky, and slower (single/quad core) than the Z170 line-up.
Let's discuss.

Not OP and I LOATHE AMD but X99 seriously is garbage.
Not only the board chipset, but the CPUs that go with it too.
