Forking is a cancer upon FOSS and the entire community would've been much better off if it was never allowed.

Prove me wrong.

PROTIP: You can't.

Your issue lies in your misunderstanding of what ``forks'' actually are. They are not separate programs and the code is compatible between forks. Your problem is actually with people and there disgusting habits.

This is true. There are so many not-Firefox version of Firefox out there right now it is ridiculous. How many bugs could have been fixed had they just contributed to the existing codebase instead of splitting off and forming their own shit?

I love to get one purely for the case so I can gut it and fit a raspberry pi in to run a RetroPi. That way I can get every single NES game made (plus a shitload more) instead of just the 30 it comes with

Unfortunately its $100 in Australia...

If this thing sells for more than 15 britbux (which it definitely will) I'm not going near it.

Also I can just imagine these games looking *amazing* on my 65" 4k TV

(checked it before posting it's 49.99 brit bux what the FUCK)

This megadrive one is the same price. Except it comes with 80 games AND lets you use real megadrive cartridges.

Nintendo are having a fucking bubble @ 50 bux

Well, Anon, I think Manjaro is better for me. However, there is no objectively better desktop linux distro. Also, anon, I think you should install Arch or Gentoo before you say Ubuntu is the best.

Welcome to /fglt/ - Friendly GNU/Linux Thread.
Users of all levels are welcome to ask questions about GNU/Linux and share their experiences.

*** Please be civil, notice the "Friendly" in every Friendly GNU/Linux Thread. ***

Before asking for help, please check our list of resources[*].

If you would like to try out GNU/Linux you can do one of the following:
0) Install a GNU/Linux distribution of your choice in a Virtual Machine using VirtualBox or other software made for this puporse for safety purposes.
1) Use the Live ISO (if your distribution of choice has one) to boot directly into the GNU/Linux distribution without installing anything, that way, you can get to experience the GNU/Linux operating system without installing it.
2) Dual boot the GNU/Linux distribution of your choice along with Windows or macOS, this is recommended if you want to know more about the GNU/Linux operating system.
3) Go balls deep and replace everything with GNU/Linux.

Just use TechPowerUp's benchmarks from their reviews. They test lots of games and have handy performance summary tables at the end. I've always found them to be neutral and have no bias towards one side or the other.
