How good is Google Fi?
https://fi.google.com/about/
great if you always have wifi avail
It's great if you don't use a lot of data. If you use more than 2GB a month, other options are likely better.
>>55625890
>>55626373
Basically. I have it, and because I'm almost always on my home, school, or work's wifi network, it's great for me, but it might not be good for people who arent always on a wifi network.
Discuss your network...
Give me some pro tips.
What is that watchguard shit? How does it compare to pfsense?
Gonna get some ubiquiti wifi aps for my house in the next couple of months. They're just a bit expensive though.

Plug in cables.
Networking!

Cisco 2800 series for a router. Connect to switches for each floor. If you need "Wi-Fi" connect an AP. Remember to configure pvst+ on the switches and use a healthy amount of etherchannel
Anything wrong with this first pc build would this all work good

Why the fuck are you paying for Windows 10?!?!
>>55625681
Ditch the liquid cooling.
Get a better case.
Get a 700w PSU at least, probably 800w just to be safe.
Find a OEM Windows 7 key and upgrade to Windows 10 with it. They are fucking everywhere.
What would be the steps to build a smartphone from scratch, including making the tools to mine the raw materials to build the machines that build the machines that build the machines etc. to ultimately make a smartphone?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semiconductor_device_fabrication
It's impossible
Run a multimillion dollar company first and then we'll talk.
>>55625511
Obviously it's possible; smartphones exist. Perhaps you think the necessary technology was given to us by aliens?
What are you working towards? Need advice? Want to know how to use certs to get jobs? Post it here.

This may or may not be completely irrelevant to the thread but here it goes anyway.
I'm a financefag but found a job in QA/business test/business analysis at a bank. Anyone have any experience with the role? How did you like it? What should I look out/prepare for, how are the exit opportunities?
>>55625460
The only thing I'm familiar with is QA in call center environments. The exit opportunities are non-existent
I tried all fucking day to run this shit using retro pi and also a smal HTPC that I have.
It is fucking garbage on most games and I am tired to try to setup something on linux anymore.
Is there something that works out of the box?
>>55625386
>Since it is still under development, all we can offer you for now is a buggy preview
You disgusting manchild don't deserve help
Why the fuck do you need an entire OS built for running emulators?
>>55625463
It was supposed to be a one stop solution. You just load a bunch of roms and then you play them with all the already setup emulators.

any amd cards out there that are better then a GTX 980?
R9 290x
R9 390 / 390x
Fury
Fury X
Rx480
>>55625232
You mean fury, fury x and 390x? Maybe the 480 when other coolers come.
>>55625232
>390
>RX480
>Better than 980
I'm an AMD shill but even I see that's nonsense. The RX480 may equal the 980 at best when overclocked with 3rd party boards/coolers.
When i try to overclock my 4770k or just leave turbo core on, everytime it makes my keyboard freeze and my mouse freezes. after about 1 min into being started up my mouse stops working every time and the LED's on my keyboard flashes.
i've had the 4770k for 2 years and it's always been like that if i touch anything that makes it go over its basic clock speed of 3.5. why is it like that, i managed to keep it at 4.2 ghz before but after about 6 months that happened again.
>>55625165
sounds like a shit motherboard.
>>55625213
i kindoff agree but before it worked perfectly with OC and then the turbocore started fucking arround, then it started acting the same with an OC
GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-UD5H
>>55625236
Is hard to tell without being able to look at and analyze the board properly. If you can afford just buy another one, if not you are boned. Might be something with the power delivery and that can't really be fixed for good.
Also, before I forget:

What torrent client has the ability to add RSS over Web UI?
Currently running an Ubuntu Server with but I find no other alternative to x11 forwarding atm.
No CVEtorrent shills please
I'm not sure if transmission's WebUI can add RSS. However flexget uses a simple yaml file to get RSS torrents, and auto download them. Pretty easy and cosy once you get your file written too.
>>55625283
Tell me more about flexget. Transmission web UI doesn't have RSS, neither does transgui
>>55624810
rtorrent + rutorrent
The answer is always rtorrent + rutorrent. If you care about really aggressive leeching then the answer is sometimes deluge, but usually it is still rtorrent + rutorrent
What the fuck is this?
Its not my video card, took it out, used integrated, same thing happens on both of them. I get an error code saying no keyboard detected even I tried PS/2 and USB?
Anyone got ideas?
Thanks

Also you have really fat fingers.
What do you use for bookmarking web? Everything I found is unsatisfactory.
My ideal bookmarking tool (Boogle) would work like this:
a) I read an interesting math article. I can't seem to comprehend it but it's relevant to my interests and I'd like to read it later. I mark the URL via Boogle and I tell it "I'd like to read this later" and it will automatically dervie keywords. Later I search for "math article toread" and the article will pop up in 3.
b) By accident I find page with nifty tricks that improves my efficiency in Vim by 100%. The page servers as good reference plus I'd like to explore more tricks from it later. I mark the URL via Boogle. Later I search for "vim" the page will pop up in 5.
Why the fuck are we still stuck with primitive filesystem-like bookmarking? Is there anything like Boogle?
Gsync and GTX 1180 is the best. AMD is finished. Bon voyage pajeet.
Found this scrible.com. Made account and tested it a bit. It's closest to what I have in mind though it has too much stuff I don't need. You can bookmark URLs, serach by content (!), even add custom tags. Unfortunately searching by more tags requires Pro membership. And the Chrome extension is kinda lame. I want to bind bookmarking to a key, not some shitty toolbar.
All those Iphone 7 rumored photos. Disgusting. Is this finally the end of iphones? Especially with there being no jailbreak for like 260 days? About to switch to android and just deal with the bloatware.
Here is a video showing the rumored phone.

Want to build a PC that's for casual use.
Media, internet, downloads.
No gaming.
But I also want it to double as my surveillance system. I've got 8 cameras from an old kit I want to hook up to the PC and use.
What do I need to do this?
Anyone able to help me get a build together?
Bump?

just go to partspicker website & look at the recommended lists
