Why is this allowed? Can someone recommend me a good program that'd shrink the drive, without deleting anything vital? There's important data there, I don't wanna fuck things up.... but I can't bear working on XP, that is inhumane.

Ubuntu live usb, use the gparted program to resize the partition
>>
>>55657377
Okay. But what if I want to install another distribution? Like Linux Mint? Then I shrink with gparted, then create another live USB?
>>
>>55657473
Any distro has gparted.
Also you don't need to use it. Newbie distros like Ubuntu and Mint come with a easy to use partitioner on the installer, just follow the on-screen instructions and you will be fine

Why is /g/ so fucking defensive over their GPUs.
Its a fucking GPU be happy with it.

Are you scared that your GPU was a bad purchase or something? Convince yourself some other way rather than being Nvidia or AMD spam bots.

It's up to the individual distro maintainers to enable it, though. Or you, if you like compiling kernels.

So I was wondering (what with scriptkiddies shitting on my Pokémon Go) are there any countermeasures to DDOS attacks being developed that seem especially fruitful? It seems like it's gotten so easy to pull off that 13-year old virgin potatoes in their mom's basement can pull them off. I remember 4chan using CloudFlare on several occasions, but are there any decent ways to handle this in the future?

Hello /g/entlemen

I really need your help, and I think you're the only ones that can help me.

Using debian testing

anon@gaia:~/Downloads/df_linux$ ./df
libpng error: bad parameters to zlib

(Dwarf_Fortress:32412): Gtk-WARNING **: Error loading theme icon 'dialog-error' for stock: Unable to load image-loading module: /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/libpixbufloader-svg.so: /home/igor/Downloads/df_linux/libs/libstdc++.so.6: version `CXXABI_1.3.8' not found (required by /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libicui18n.so.55)

Doesn't look like an error that I've seen Linux give. It looks custom. Is there a readme that you should try and read?

libpng error: bad parameters to zlib

To solve this, I think you can have 2 solutions :

compile the libgraphics.so from here https://github.com/svenstaro/dwarf_fortress_unfuck , and replace the old libgraphics.so by the new

or (copy of the installation page of the DF wiki) "edit the /data/init/init.txt file and set the game to use the BMP variants of the art files, instead of the default PNG"

Now get the fuck out of 4chan you miserable retard
