What's a good earphone of this type for an affordable price? Anyone got any recs? I really don't like the in-ear plugs which burrow deep into your ear and accumulate earwax.

I have that pair. It's comfy with the mittens on. Only wish it had a microphone. (Working volume controls are probably too much to ask for, given the compatibility clusterfuck.)

Yes, you already sold your soul to jewgle. One more fingerprint won't add much.

NO ONE HAS THIS CARD?

How the fuck do you deal with this? Using a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 with a TI chipset PCI-E firewire card. That's going to an Alesis power amp, driving a couple monitors.

Sound is high frequency and changes as I move the mouse/do tasks, so I'm pretty sure its RF from the PC.

I'm poor so I need to be pretty sure of how to fix this. My power amp doesn't have balanced inputs. Could getting one that does fix it?

I've also considered this:
https://www.amazon.ca/Behringer-HD400-2-Channel-Hum-Destroyer/dp/B000KUD2G4

but I don't know if it will work for my problem, since it's not a ground loop issue.

Please bros...please.

>>
>>55659164
Make sure the Focusrite is using its own power supply, not the 12v from FW. I have no idea though if that model is prone to coupling noise from the digital interface anyway.
>but I don't know if it will work for my problem, since it's not a ground loop issue.
If it's not a ground loop issue, it won't help. Are you sure it's not a ground loop issue? Do you even know for sure everything is grounded? I'm going to bet it's not....
>>
>>55659650
It's using its own power supply.

No, I suppose I don't know for sure. Guess I should look up how to check. But I had assumed it wasn't a ground loop issue because I thought those are characterized by a low frequency hum.

Which one would be the better option? I'll be gaming on a 1080p 60Hz moniter so I don't care about performance in 1440p. From benchmarks I've seen, the 1060 wins, but it is also more expensive. Since I'm paying for a completely new pc, I want to get the better dollar per frames performance, and the one that will last me longer until I have to upgrade. I don't need to run everything at the highest settings, just enough to make it run smoothly and without frame rate drops. I'm playing with a few friends on pc, but most of my gaming will be done on ps4 with the majority of my friends. Which would be the better option?

the cheapest one you can possibly find. preferably after market
>>
They're about the same really. Buying something more expensive because it wins by 3 or 4 frames is pretty retarded, honestly. Besides, DX11 will be dead by 2018.

You do know that data scientists or actual engineers don't really frequent this board, don't you?

Anyway, R is really comfy when used together with a sane GUI. While it's specialised for statistical computing, it has a fine number of general applications and plotting tools.

Yeah, check /sci/ instead. Anyway, I work on electrophysiological data. Write tons of MATLAB. I switch to Python sometimes since machine learning packages are much better. Use Jupyter pretty heavily.

I'm always using numpy, scipy (especially scipy.signal), pandas, and sklearn. Seaborn for data visualization.

I am first time here statistician using R. Oldschool guys use MATLAB but I wanna learn Python.
Thinking about going back to /sci and starting R appreciation thread.

Studying a post grad in cyber security only have experience in web development and digital marketing. I'm fucked aren't I? My father generation could flunk out of high school and still get a well paid job with a employee actually willing to train their staff, something which doesn't happen at all now. I just want to kill myself at this point I have been robbed of any hope.
