I'm about to pull my fucking face off /g/, please Christ tell me one of you can help me.
I got some piece of shit phone from AliExpress. It came with ten shitloads of preinstalled malware. I need to root the phone to remove them. I need to unlock the bootloader to root it. And therein lies the problem.
I've my phone in fastboot mode, or download mode as it's called now. And every variation of the command to unlock the bootloader is met with either a <waiting for device> or a [...], at which it will stay until I close the window.
I also tried the method via the HTC Dev site, where you get an unlock token and have them send you some manner of unlocking file. I got the token. And when I try to use it, I can "Error: 152. Token info not complete." spat back at me.
I've USB Debugging enabled, my phone doesn't have an option for OEM Unlock. I've a HTC One E9+

Ubuntu. You're only going to get good performance if you have an nvidia or an intel gpu though. Amd has no drivers. The only downside to the nvidia drivers is your computer will not shut down unless you hold down the power button.

Can someone explain to me what the fuck just happened?
I downloaded ES file explorer to my phone and was using it to browse a SMB share on my home server. As I was browsing, I got an email notification informing me my server saying Fail2Ban blocked a SSH brute force attempt (5 tries) from my phones IP address.
What kind of chinese botnet is this? I feel like I need to wipe my phone now.

If you need more than two, use Chromium but compile it from source and remove the features that cause it to phone home.

Msrp is a meme. They intentionally marked up the price for the founders edition so others can use that as pricing range.
The reason AIB for 1060 are going down to 480 level is because 480/1060 are too close of a performance segment and therefore creates competition. Also the fact that 480 AIB are going to be released within a week or so
