Has anyone here ever picked up and repurposed an old plastic MacBook?
I have this exact model: http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook/specs/macbook-core-2-duo-2.2-white-13-late-2007-santa-rosa-specs.html
I've put an SSD and upgraded RAM to 4GB.
I'm thinking about using some lightweight distro but the archwiki gave me false hope:

As you can see there's nothing there, but I'm pretty sure some of you have done this, I've already tried ubantoo but I don't particularly like it.

When it comes to a low level API like vulkan or dx12, if an architecture of GPUs is performing poorly, who's responsible? The company that makes the GPUs and drivers, or the game developer?
Sorry for posting another GPU thread, but I'm curious who's responsible for the poor performance of keppler with vulkan.
Also, will older cards like gtx570 or HD6870 work at all with DOOM, or do they not support the instruction sets required?

I'm looking for a travel laptop. I always wanted to buy a sexy Thinkpad X200 with Libreboot because of muh freedums ( https://minifree.org/product/libreboot-x200/ ). Though, I don't know if the CPU is powerful enough to do a lot of operations. The fact is that when I travel, I often crack wireless networks to get free internet. Would it be possible with a X200 or is the CPU too weak ?
My current laptop has an i7 one, when the thinkpad only has a Core 2 Duo.
