I had the Lumia 925(W10) for a couple of years, a week ago ago i bought a Galaxy S7.
My god Android is so fucking bad, almost every app hangs sooner or later forcing a soft reset, i dont even get a error or a app crash, just complete freeze while using shit like the camera app.
Had multiple issues with apps using 30% CPU for hours on end that i had to uninstall because they were eating away my battery (samsung health, youtube app) even when i never opened them.
Truly a POS OS, even W8 for phones was better than this.
Oh and this fucking unlocked Sprint phone keeps asking me for the fucking hands free activation and i can't even disable the notification, REEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>I brought a samshit
Nice tumblr post.
S7 edge works for me.
No proof, and doesn't sound believable tbqh. Fake and gay
Anyone any experience with silent PC cases?
I currently have a HAF 912 and I'd love to cut down all the noises that come from it when my PC is doing things. How much of a difference is it between a normal PC case and one built for noise reduction? Notable enough?
Here's what I did;
>Spent a tonne of money on trying to make my comp as silent as possible
>silent case, tried a hard drive silencer on the hard drives
>realised this wasn't enough
>drilled a hole in my floor
>bought a few 10m USB cables and a 10m HDMI cable
>put my computer in another room
>now it's absolutely silent regardless
It is your only real option for real silence.
>>55697902
Industrious but unfortunately not an option
It's better to get quite parts than a "silent" case
Water-cool or get better fans, only hook up fans you need for comfy temps at daily computing, if you're innards get too hot, hook up an extra fan, not all at once. Consider a new PSU or GPU as well.
I need something better for listening to music than a $10 pair of shitty genius pc speakers I currently have
I've read upon a few audio and speakers threads, which one would be the better choice here? I know they aren't the same budget.
>jbl lsr305
>yamaha hs5
>yamaha hs7
>klipsch r-15pm
which one should I get?
also would I benefit from an audio interface? like a focusrite scarlett solo? or is a mobo audiocard ? (Realtek ALC1150)

So, Python is the lingua franca. Got it. Thanks, OP.
What does /g/ think about the Wayland display server/protocal as a modern replacement for the X11 Display? Wayland has little support for most Windows Managers but is much more minimal than X, has better performance and is much more lightweight. Also XWayland runs so you can fully emulate X dependent applications.
>>55697401
Wayland is the future. But can you forward Wayland via SSH?
>>55697445
Its not going to be directly supported by the protocol
Its going to require either another application, or a separate version of a Wayland compositor that forwards the windows over the network.
As far as I can tell, it will be possible, but not as native as X

What's the most nigger rigged you've ever done tech or non tech.
>trailer is on a partial slant and is moving a tiny bit every year; enough to notice
>door in my room will not close with a normal door knob/lock
>about 1/2 a foot of room under neath for air
>can use your foot to open the door
>put duct tape on the door knob hole
>get 2 neo magnets
>get duct tap
>tape them to the opposite sides of the top of the door and frame on the top of the door
>door now is magnetically shut but can be pulled apart with ease
>for lock, using a small flat head wedged in the door frame to the door and cannot be opened unless you break the frame
>dell monitor
>gets so fucking hot it has literally burned me
>get a basic PC fan from an old shit PC
>rig it to a wall DC adapter that has 12V
>works like a charm
>tape it to the back of it blowing downwarm
>it has cooled off at least 30% or something
and my room is not an oven in the summer since I did this
Why does dell things have to run so hot?
>>55697132
Is the monitor a CCFL backlit IPS monitor?
If it is, that's why. CCFL backlit IPS monitors were always ridiculously hot.
>>55697176
I wish I knew what that meant. Please forgive my dumbness, will you explain it to me?
http://www.partschase.com/image/cache/data/Dell/1908FPC-500x500.jpg
that's my monitor, at this point I love that I have the USB ports and they work great. That's honestly the only reason I use it, if I had the money, I'd but an extra USB hub and a wide screen monitors.

What doas /g think of the apple keyboard ?
/g will hate it. Where can I find low travel mechanical keyboard switches?? Are there any that work with "normal" switch holes?
>>55697098
it's really annoying to use for too long.
had to use them at high school back when laptops weren't allowed

Been using it daily for the past 8 years I've owned this iMac. Feels fine.
