I like loonix just as much as the next guy, but are there any REAL alternatives to Microsoft Word besides Libre/Open office?
Libre is fine for a short 5 page paper, but with larger 50+ page papers the footnote/formatting systems fall apart.
I'd hate to have to dual boot every time I need to write a longer paper for grad school.

Backstory...
Browsing amazon for tools, just adding items to my wish list and reading reviews and shit. Check my wish list and some items price dropped 85% or more. I end up buying 3 different name brand power tool kits for a fraction of the price.
Anyone experience this?
Am I getting scammed by amazon?

Fedora-LXDE is one of the worst Operating Systems I have ever seen. I think the problem lies within LXDE.
On a fresh install Midori did not open once. I had to download Firefox, and then in a matter of days there were missing repos and I was unable to download anything.
Why in the hell would they make Midori a default browser, anyway?

This will most likely be my day today. I'm a glutton apparently because I get the urge to check out different distros and automatically remove my current install to force myself to install a new distro, but ultimately nothing I try will be able to replace my slack.
Right now I am in the middle of loading Antergos and Apricity to my multiboot usb. I have never used arch or any arch related distro. I am using antergos and apricity to get a feel for what arch will be like without having to install it straight away. Will either of these actually give the "feel" of arch or should I skip the multiboot all together and go straight in to arch?
Also, what's everyone's favorite distro? Mine is very obviously Slackware.
