Name a better service.

Hint: name one that uses Sprint, T-Mobile, AND U.S. Cellular.

Good luck.

Yes. Disable built-in osc in config, download osc.lua from git and put it under ~/.config/mpv/scripts/ folder

>see image
>see all that orange and yellow in the cellular strength
>there's your problem

When you have a bad signal and bad reception it forces the cellular radio to use a lot more power to maintain a connection to the network hence the color gradations you see there. Either:

- move to another area with better reception
- get another carrier with better coverage in your home or whatever area you're in
- get a better cell phone with better antennas/etc
- get an external battery
- if you're using LTE switch to HSPA+ or even outright 3G if necessary

ROMs won't really help much, neither will anything else since from that image it's easy to see you're just having massive issues with the cellular network itself and signal quality. Until that line becomes almost all green you're going to have shit battery life because of it.

Is there any benefit to having a tiny form factor PC like a NUC instead of a laptop?
12 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>55757014
Yeah, if you want to hook it up to a larger screen and avoid having the keyboard/touchpad
>>
>>55757014
They make convenient headless servers, and fit anywhere that space and power/thermal constraints are a concern.

They're not portable like laptops, but the increased expandability is often worth a lack of portability in many use cases.

Generate a random (real) number between 0 and 1, then find (the integer) x so that the CDF of the Poisson distribution from 0 to x is equal to the randomly generated number. Idk about any of the intricacies of python, which is why i didn't say int or double types

Surely you could just do this in R.

You're not trying to get us to do your homework are you, sneaky anon?

Given that we all sit on our asses alot, me included I wanted to ask /g/ what chairs you use at your desk? I notice I'm a hell of a lot more productive when I'm able to sit straight up. My current chair doesn't do a good job for lumbar support. I'm wondering if you guys had any recommendations regarding chair that promotes good posture.

>buy expensive ergonomic chair
>feels no different from normal chair desu

They reckon you should lean back and shit these days

The best thing you can do for yourself is just to get up and walk around every so often. Doesn't matter how good the chair is if you don't do that.

Also exercise regularly and build your core strength.
>>
>>55757009
Thanks anon, I am interested in exercising to get a better overall posture too, any specifics you could recommend?

Best $300 I've ever spent.

No more neck and lower back pain.

Night and day between this and the shitty generic office chair I had before.

Don't cheap out on a good chair, OP. It's something worth investing into. Your body will thank you. I wish I upgraded sooner.

AMD has run real products, not just test chips through Samsung’s fab and have the ability now, based on an ambiguous “if needed” trigger point, to fab there.

Anyone else waiting for zen?

If nothing else it should drop the price of the current-gen CPUs right?

Waiting for those sweet ass fx 8350 or 8370 price cuts.

Kinda wish they would drop a couple of final am1 cpus before zen hits but I'm not holding my breath. Love my Athlon 5350...for the price (30$) it's amazing and it would be nice for a final poor fag upgrade/overclock project.

But since that'll never fuckin happen I'll just wait on the afore mentioned price cuts.

I'm still waiting for desktop Bristol Ridge, so I buy it now and upgrade to a 6-core/12-thread or 8-core/16-threads Zen APU with the graphics performance of a 260x later.

I'm guessing they might not release such a thing ever so I'll have to wait until like march of 2017.

Why aren't there any flagship phones with plastic displays?

Plastic isn't as good with touch screens, it's not dense enough to transmit force as accurately

you're brilliant anon

Because it wouldn't sell, which is required for a flagship to be economically viable.

It's also worse for the image quality.

feminists reinforce each other.
and if something does not go the way they want it they will blame it on white men.
literally the only way to get rid of this behavior is to climb the corporal ladder to a position where you can affect these things or make your own company.

it's certainly doing its job
The CNC controller for the mill at my school is fucking spotless inside despite not being cleaned for months
>>
>>55756861
I have to say, the build inside is clean. Though the lack of airflow after ~7-10 days brings the processor up to 80c when it's running the BTB software

The fact that the same shit is probably in my lungs is what concerns me. That's dominantly Turboforge oil, which is ultra fine graphite dust in mineral oil, which is used on the Neotechman forging machines.

Nasty shit, the ambient oil in the air turns white clothes gray in a few days

Whats the best way to protect my external hardrives and computer from virus.

I work in a small production company, and most of the times we have people coming over with material shot and saved on SD cards, flashdrives or portable hard drives. Of course, I'm worried of my computer getting an STD.

Are storage media borne virus and spyware still an issue as they used to be with WIN XP and recycler?
