what android web browser do you use /g/? i was using chrome, but just like it's desktop counterpart - it drinks your battery up like juice, so I switched to lightning, is there anything better?
Naked browser.
Fast and no bloated "features".

I want to build a desktop but I'm a poorfag. I figured I'd just buy one piece at a time until I have enough for assembly. What order should I start buying? I'm thinking I should start with parts that don't upgrade often like case and psu. Then probably ram. Of course after that I'd have to have a better idea of whats comming next. Gpu would probably be last on the list. Does this sound about right?
Any other anons here piece together their build? What order did you start buying?
And every time pay for shipping?
Damn these plebeans are stupid, I must stick to rich smart people.
>>55761300
You should save up until you can afford it all at the same time. But I'm guessing you've probably heard that before and decided you want to buy piecemeal anyway. You can buy the GPU last if you really want and just run on integrated graphics until then.
How long are you planning to wait between buying parts?

Is the Eizo Foris worth the moola? Any owners?
>>55761230
Eizo is a great display maker with top-notch QA, but why freesync? AMD doesn't even have a GPU that can push 1440p at 144hz, unless you're playing cs:go or assfaggots. I'd personally go for the Asus variant of the same panel.
>>55761327
I intend to get a 490 later on.
>>55761230
I have one, and I love it. Got mine day 1, pre-ordered it.
>>55761327
It's more of a CPU than a GPU issue. I got an 5820K OCed and a 290X, and the CPU is my bottleneck almost all the time. DX12/Vulcan should fix that, though.
When I used Firefox I had a plugin called "Save Image to Folder"
Basically in the settings of the plugin you could select folders and when you wanted to download an image you could choose which folder you wanted it to go in, very useful for saving reaction images, wallpapers, porn etc.
Any chrome alternatives?
pls

>internet connection is unstable as fuck
>they come out a few times and find something wrong each time, but never actually fix the issue and make the connection stable
>finally get tired of it and switch services
>same shit; never acquired truly stable internet at this apartment
>move to brand new house maybe 10 miles away, probably a little less
>stuck with satellite because landline-based internet hasn't been set up, even though we're right in the middle of a city
>worker takes 18 hours to get the connection working
>after the first trip out, he brought his brother, whom I get the feeling didn't have any qualifications
>connection is, again, unstable; he apparently missed a bunch of basic steps
>new guy comes out and makes it more stable
>sorta
>it's still misaligned, confirmed remotely by the company
>connection has gotten so bad at this point that I can't stay online consistently for half an hour, and if there's so much as a drizzle outside, you can forget about it
>getting someone to come out and fix this is impossible; the first time, they were going to call us back and never did (over a month later), and when we called back and sat on hold to get an appointment, they actually canceled the scheduled date the night before, claiming that they were all tied up (probably due to needing repeat trips for all of their fuckups)
Goddammit, fuck the south. Considering how consistent it is, it's pretty obvious at this point that the issue is just that the IT workforce out here mostly consists of chuckfucks who don't have more competent workers forcing them to either step up their game or get put out of a job. Shit, this is probably where the losers go. I miss the west coast.
At this point you should run your own cable
>>55761105
I know a bit about programming, but I know jack shit about setting up cabling and the like, unfortunately.
>>55761187
Shit is cake, knowing what kind of cable and how to connect it and actually get data through it is where the money is
And for a new building, it's usually best to order POTS it forces the phone company to install the wiring to your house/street, meaning you can get the shittiest dsl over those lines
How do you build a modern non-PHP CMS in 2016?

wtf i now hate everyone who uses AMD
>>55761227
It makes me feel good that I have never purchased an AMD product.
Why is this not a bigger deal? I rarely see it discussed on g. Whatever voodoo that geforce experience uses to stream to the moonlight client I have seen nothing else even close. I can open up chrome at work and use the moonlight extension to access my gaming PC with almost zero latency. From steam to the desktop, it never fails to perform and stream perfectly. I can even watch movies from my home HDD at work and the sound and video is perfect. No stuttering or audio skips or buffering which is way more than can be said for shitty plex. This is what won me over to nvidia after a friend showed me what it was capable of.
>>55760860
Isn't that the name of that shitty opensource implementation of Silverlight?
>>55760938
Maybe, however their website says
>Moonlight (formerly known as Limelight)
My guess would be Moonlight uses Nvidia-specific features (hardware encoding?) to streamline performance, whereas Steam has to rely on more generic features because Steam is supposed to work on a variety of configurations (AMD, OS X, Linux, etc)
