Do you have a personal website?
What do you use it for?
Do you host it yourself?
I bought a domain just to have [email protected] as my email address, but decided to use it as a personal page as well. It's just got a link to my email, resume, linkedin, and personal cloud (owncloud) that my server is running, although I'd like to do more with it.
I don't link anything as it attracts spam and what not.
>>55765148
I hope you aren't hosting your own email.
>>55765191
This. I link to personal projects and other websites I find interesting, but no way am I putting a resume or detailed contact info on there.
I also host some projects on my domain. With Digital Ocean it's only $5 per month.
How do I create my own Kickasstorrents?

I'm gonna be upgrading my computer soon. Should I get Windows 10 even with all the privacy issues, or Windows 8.1 with Classic Shell?
I've not seen anyone in my life need or even clearly benefit from W10. It's had a full year to pull that off and somehow hasn't. 8.1 should suit you just fine.
if your using windows you shouldnt care about privacy

Wow that actually looks super comfy. Does it connect wireless?
Im currently working on my finalwork about 'BYOD enterprise wifi security'. The idea is to test some of the authentication protocols to see how 'hackable' they are. I have done a MS-CHAPv2 handshake capture with a rogue AP and decrypted the password but i want to do some other tests because i dont have enough content. I dont really know where to start next and time is ticking away.
Do you guys have any ideas for test i can do or write some content about?
thanks

You can't expect me to watch 40 minutes of people talking in Indian, so I have no thoughts on it.

I found this HP Rp5800 and a few other things heading to the trash today. My question is, what the hell can I do with this thing? The only thing it's missing is the HDD
Hopefuly it has the PCIe riser, otherwise you are stuck with built in video/PCI video.
4 Dimm sockets, so it will run XP/Win7 well/ Not sure about processors tough...

I need some help /g/ with Radeon Settings; I'm getting a 'The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)'
Here is what I have done already;
>uninstall with DDU and reinstall
>checked all the DDLs with Dependency Walker
Yet I am still getting the error and it won't load - can anyone help me with this?

Hey /g/
I figured this would be the right place to ask this question
Is an Applied Computer Science degree worth it? I am going to uni this september and I have been accepted into the computer science programs at 3 universities. The thing is the name of the CS program at the most prestigious uni is called BSc (Hons) Applied Computer Science. Would that be a disadvantage when applying for work? I checked the course info and it is accredited but I am still woried.
Thank you

>Applied Computer Science
I think most Computer Science programs are "applied" since you have to choose your program based on what you want to do. I would look into those programs and see which one fits you best. If the university you are talking about really is prestigious, then I don't think anyone will actually care.
What uni is it, btw?

What the fuck makes it different from computer science
What's a free FTP client that isn't complete garbage?
Filezilla - every other file transfer fails, directory listings refresh slower than my Amiga 1200
WinSCP - file transfers slow as shit
Cyberduck - filename too long errors
I just want to back up a website.
