If you're in Europe it looks like a regular number 8 to me. Just without the middle bits
Aaron Swartz/ clearly murdered. Discuss.
Uhh, "they" had the guy dead to rights with a prosector who was looking to make an example of him. "They" had no reason to kill him.
Unless you mean "murdered" in the sense that "their" prosecution drove him to suicide, in which case I'm going to disagree with your flagrant misuse of English.

>Poor people are the ones that are buying overpriced stuff
Okay there, Einstein
Macfags aren’t poor stupid users, they are rich stupid users.
I´ve want to buy a new GPU for my PC. currently using intel hd 530. (before that an ATI Radeon HD 4550 and ps3) So I build myself a PC this spring and now I wanted to buy a 480 Nitro, but I would have wait probably anoterh 2-3 weeks and will pay 50€ more than for a reference model.
So my question is: should I wait or not? I am no genius on GPU´s. I will play only on 1080p, I would like to play on High - Ultra. Games I want to play right now "ROTR", anything beyond 40-45fps would be nice, DS3(this isn´t much demanding) and of course FFXV, when it will finally be released.
So help me anons, what are downsides and benefits from the Nitro compared to a reference model!
(Specs: I5 6600, DDR4 16gb, Gigabyte MB)
(well please no gpu war, I don´t want Nvidia because I don´t have positive experiences with it)
>>55769737
forgot to mention: I´ve got also a 500W 80+ Gold PSU
Im in the exact position as you so I'll bump this thread. I recently bought an i5-6600k, and Im coming from a Phenom II 955 + HD6850
Nitro is pretty much better in every way. I have a dvi monitor that I use on the side, and since ref 480 doesnt have a dvi, I dont even want it.
Nitro
-smaller in length due to smaller heatsink
-one dvi
-8 pin power connector as opposed to 6 pin
You shouldn't be opposed to getting a 1060, though, as that one is more power efficient as well as having good and mostly better performance than the 480.
Hell, I will prob order both (when theyre finally stocked, ever) and keep the one I like more.

Alright /g/ I've had a pair of 24" 1080p monitors for about 8 years now and one died, and the other is on it's way out(I fixed both monitors caps about 3 years ago, but now the inverters are going).
Display technology seems to be at a point where some significant improvements are being made however everyone seems to be failing to produce something that has every feature.
*4:4:4 subsampling
*12 bit color depth for HDR
*Wide Gamut
*Variable refresh rate
*4k Display(at a min of 60hz)
*Infinite contrast via OLED or per pixel lighting
*Displayport 1.3/HDMI 1.4/HDCP 2.2 compliance(some monitors don't even have adequate inputs to get the most out of the display)
I want to buy something, but it just feels like such a waste when the industry is in a complete slump and reviewers are just regurgitating talking points rather than testing and verifying spec like they used to. WTH.
>>55769731
>infinite contrast
you are asking too much
>>55769731
wait for the HDR revolution later this year.. this will open up the possibilities
>>55769801
It says infinite contrast because on OLED pixels are turned off. So you are dividing by zero which is undefined.

/g/ you know any tech websites with great back to school deals?
also you know any good tech backpacks?
>tfw everyone in your school has a meme backpack
>tfw you only have a functioning backpack
>>55769722
not op but what are some sites that offer free shit or discounts for students.
dreamspark gave me windows 5free, even though I activated it with daz but it's cool, I guess
>>55769751
uhhh... ever heard English before?
I rarely see "back to school" deals which are any more impressive or numerous than what's available the rest of the year. I think it's more of a ripoff scheme for big box retailers. Just keep your eyes open on sites like SlickDeals, as you always should when you're in the market for something.
I used to just get whichever backpack looked sturdiest. That was more often than not a Jansport high school special.

Hey /g/, help me out with your opinion? I need to know which is masters' choice of:
1. Web Hosting Company
2. Top tier business level antivirus (if really it is necessary)
3. Code editor for web design
Thanks /g/! It's for science purpose
1. Your mom's husband
2. Best buy

Hosting just a static website? Database too?
Need more details.
If you need a full VM then Digital Ocean is pretty cheap, Azure/AWS provide cheap shit as well.
>>55769676
For a PHP + MySQL website, but also your opinion on the choice for a static website would be appreciated.
Actually I don't have a big knowdlege, I am just performing a research for my university, but I'm guessing a full VM it's a hosting that includes all the services? Thank you for your contribution!

The JVM is objectively far, far better than any of the current Python implementations. This isn't debatable.
