who's the piece of shit pcgamer, loogun or this guy?

>mfw the tek is slowly dying with their shit content, no uploads and hiring of autists after the whole breakup

What is this hiring autists nonsense I have read that copypasta a couple times and I don't know where that's coming from.

Wouldn't autists logically be better for technical channels?

the 2 guys he always has in the videos, they are clearly on the autism spectrum.

So my fan was making noise but i fixed it by elevating it with duct tape

I'm wondering if it will melt when heated tho. Any ideas for replacements

Fine the model of the laptop or that specific fan and buy a new one???

You'll be alright, not enough heat generated to melt the plastic. The glue will soften however, but it should stay in place..

Where can I get a shelf like this /g/?

a hardware store

pro tip:don't

They are pretty chinsey and unstable
>>
>>61923004
Bought one just like that from Lowe's hardware some years ago.

>>61923063
Mine is pretty sturdy but the shelves are kind of junky MDF and warped
>>
Apart from hardware stores as mentioned, do a quick search online for actual shelving stores in your area. There's one around me which buys from stores that are closing up, and will also sell individual units to people.

Who backs cryptocurrency?
Other fiat money is backed by the countries that produce and use them.
Is it just a large number of rich people that say "yeah i'll give you USD/EUR for this cryptocurrency"?

Say somehow I got interviews for internships FB and Google.

My coding skills are still rather meager but maybe they would be impressed by some the projects I managed to build(got help and assistance).

How can I hopefully pass these interviews? Iam intern I don't have to know everything, just not look too dumb.

My advantages.
-Great ideas.
-Can easily understand and applies knowledge at a high level.
-Extremly good at talking and explaining.
-Fast learner and easily looked things up online and problem slove form that.

Cons
-Haven't learned much math.
-Knowledge of data structure and algorithm has big holes
-Only know Python, SQL and JavaScript.
-lacking on knowledge of tensor flow.

Any help? Iam at a lost atm on how I could look like a good coding intern In their eyes...

I have a whole month to study.

So right now I'm going through a free course on HTML and CSS (very bare minimal) and I'd like to get to where I can make apps for android and iphone. What coding language should I start with and does anyone have any input that could help me get started? Thanks.

My friend works at a shitty company where people are not allowed to bring anything in the production halls but at the same time they can't lock their valuables anywhere, so they just leave their valuables at a place.

New people who don't know about the thief(s) always get shit stolen, watches, money, you name it.

What would be a good way to catch the person(s)?
I was thinking about putting an ESP8266 with motion sensor in his backpack and log the times when it senses something. But IDK if there might be a more effective way. Also I don't want to spend much money.

Also
- Company doesn't care
- It's not possible for workers to set up a (hidden) camera anywhere in that room
- He can't leave his workplace except for predetermined brakes

That seems to expensiv. Also why would he steal a GPS tracker? I would need to hide the tracker in something desiderable. Doesn't sound like a do-able option

I got some no-name chink shit years ago that was 12Ah for $12. Free shipping through Amazon. It does actually supply its rated capacity too.

I dislike having one in the first place so I'm not fussed about brand or features.

I have an old laptop that I bought semi-new in 2009 which has windows 7. I want to do something to it since it's getting a bit slow, but I don't know if I should just erase all my files and keep w7 or if I should try a light Linux distro (it would be my first time using linux). I'm thinking on installing either Point Linux or Linux lite (maybe there's better options) but I'm not sure if it'll work for me since it's the only pc I have and I use it for school and hobbies like music production and emulating games.
What would you recommend me, /g/?
For school I use Windows office and ArcMap. For music I would like to have Cool edit pro/Cubase and FL Studio, or something similar.

Reinstall 7. Really, Linux's desktop composition is quite heavy on resources compared to 7's. At least from what I've tried, Cinnamon, GNOME and KDE.
>>
You should find a tech savvy friend to look at it in person. Maybe some cleanup in Windows can help you with performance. Or perhaps it would be inexpensive for you to do an upgrade, like more RAM or an SSD.

I know the laptop is older in years but it might still have components which can function well to this day. Don't go nuking your OS prematurely, especially if you use MS Office.

What is the compatibility of an R9 290x in the same system with an R9 380/380x or other cards? Any crossfire support?

No.

R9 290x was rebadged to R9 390x with more ram and higher clocks.

>know a little bit of programming, self-taught
>C, python, java, c++
>doing nothing but stupid little personal projects in my free time
>always wanted to make a piece of software that people would actually use
>first language was java so every time I try to write something I always end up making a sloppy, overcomplicated OO piece of shit
>tried to learn functional programming but got nowhere

Every time I start a project now I just jump right in with some stupid object models and once it gets too complicated I scrap it. This is so frustrating. I love programming, but I get so frustrated with the gap between where I am now and the stuff that professional programmers actually do. How do learn this stuff on my own?

The worst is that even though I get so frustrated with myself, I keep coming back to programming because I know deep down that I actually enjoy it.

Do any anons know this feel?

>>
> software that people would actually use
this one is hardest for me
>>
>>61921545
Your expectations for what you can do is too high there's no way the first program you write is going to be something people use it just isn't if you see a project is getting to complicated then downgrade the scope of said project so that it isn't impossible for you to manage eventually you well get better and if you try hard enough maybe you can get somebody to use your program for something it'll take many years of trying but prescience is key think of it this way how many authors first book was super successful probably not very many and books have been around a lot longer then programing so just keep trying it's not over tell you give up
