well, it's buggy as fuck. every week or so a new version comes out and something breaks for me. For example, this week, they added additional search engines and entering URLs didn't work for me until I set a default one.
>tfw Linux advocate for years basing argument solely on UI/UX superiority
>tfw think Windows 10 has best UI on planet unironically
I think I'm fucked up in head after getting so much feedback telling me so.
ok
>>55965197
Uh, you get to choose your interface with Linux systems. If you like the Windows 10 interface, recreate it in Linux. The same can't be done the other way around because Microsoft conflates UI with OS, and people swallow that swill.
>>55965514
But the question is: if I think Windows 10 is out of box better than any Linux GUI, why should I? Win10 brought scroll without focus, four-corner snapping and good virtual desktops. Combine that with good search, menu, explorer and taskbar and it's done.
Hey, /g/.
I've been messing around with omegle for a while.
I've used python to do random stuff like 'man in the middle' text conversations but that's been done a million times.
I've been using this guide (https://archive.is/ojah3) up to just before you start hamster.
From there, I can see the omegle requests (the conversation)..
I get the chat ID and can send messages, disconnect, whatever. Here is a pretty good guide for all that:
https://gist.github.com/nucular/e19264af8d7fc8a26ece
But, I want to capture the video streams.
I can't find anything like this when I've looked.
Omegle uses rtmfp to connect the video (it's p2p), I get the connection ID, is there anyway I can use rtmfp to get the stream manually?
Or, is there some way to capture it like I do with the conversations?
I'm not good with webshit/networking. Help?
Bump for quality thread,
Why not just use fraps to capture the vids from your end?
Or is this some kind of learning thing where you specifically want to do it the hard way?
>>55965191
I think he's talking about getting the video streams from people he isn't talking with

This.
I can capture my own video, that's just easy.
Any of you used a walking desk setup for long periods and have success with the setup?
I have a sitting and a standing desk setup. I find standing good because it's easier for me to get off my computer because standing is more tiring than sitting thus forcing me to take breaks. I won't take breaks otherwise, I can't do it.
But what I really want is to take less/minimal breaks and not feel like I need to in the first place.
At first, I fully discredit the idea of a treadmill desk because
>too noisy
>no way you can be precise with a mouse and keyboard
>uses too much power
>will get worn out too quick and require constant repair
>won't be able to focus
But then I was reading about them some more and I realized that everyone uses them at an extremely slow pace, they can low lower than 1mph in increments of .1mph and it's common to use in 1-2mph range. This would be slow enough to be quiet, minimal wear and tear on the machine and yourself, easy to keep your body from bobbing around and won't be noisy.
So, I'm already in shape. The idea isn't to lose weight but instead to just keep moving. Standing in place for long periods leads to pain the legs, feet, lower back and knees. Sitting in place leads to pain in the piriformis muscle, hip tightness and in the mid back.
I can walk all day without much more than slight foot discomfort so it seems like the perfect solution but I haven't actually tried such a setup and have no ability to before jumping in.
So any of you standing desk'ers converting to walking or anyone else?
lol fatass
adjust ur eating habits and use a yoga ball
I know this is bait but I'm 6'2" 200lbs, drug and alcohol free, eat a balanced diet and perform regular weight training and cardio. I have no medical history to speak of.
I know some people just want to sit down after a long day of work, not here to convince you otherwise. Sitting a few hours after work is probably good for you. This is for people who get pain from sitting or standing too much on a computer.

What do you think of coding bootcamps? I'm debating whether or not to enter one. The hiring prospects after completion seem very attractive (and I live in NYC). It is expensive, but I can get a loan from family.
Do you have any experience with them? Are they worth it?
please respond
Why not teach yourself programming?
There are plenty of online resources these days. It's mostly free, and you can learn at your own speed from your own house.
>>55965196
I've been slowly doing that but I need a job ASAP and these bootcamps seem to have a great track record of people getting hired right out of the gate
After being a burnout NEET where i haven't played a video game properly in 3 years, i decided to give it another try to resurrect the passion.
Since i have limited neetbux saved up, i need a budget gamer pc, 1080p60fps is enough, dont need none of that VR garbage or 1440p gimmicks.
Radeon RX470 looks best performance to price, right?
What CPU should i get that won't bottleneck the rx470?
thanks brah.

/v/ doesn't know shit about technology
Any i5 quad core pretty much.
Now go do research.
thinking to buy a mini pc for my father's tv now that is getting very low vision: he's using a magnifier glass to look at his old laptop, a little sad desu, a bigger screen should be helpful
looking for intel NUCs but all the i5 ones are very expensive, is there a better alternative or should I just stop being cheap and get him an apple mini?

What's wrong with a mini itx build?

how's yours?
>>55965018
Don't own one but it shouldn't really be a difference between it and any regular PC. It's just smaller, I was asking if it's small enough for what you're going.
Something like this

ruby on rails
Both of these functions sum the integers from 0 to n. Are the runtimes respectively O(n) and O(1) or O(nlog(n)) and O(log(n)) since performing arithmetical operations on larger numbers takes longer?def sum1(n):
result = 0
for i in range(n + 1):
result += i
return result
def sum2(n):
return (n ** 2 + n) // 2
I dont know
you're not the boss of me now
>>55964624
Technically it's O(nlog(n)) and O(log(n)) but for practical values of n the arithmetical operations take a vanishingly small amount of time and can be neglected giving O(n) and O(1).
I have iPhone 6S
Phone went full retard so I will cheat the RMA, get brand new and sell it
Galaxy S7 edge arriving tomorrow
Excited but 5.5 inch
How did I do and will I be disappointed? I honestly don't care about iOS at all atm but for sure the fingerprint reader is 10/10. I also use 3D touch only because it makes the nice vibration.
It's a phone.
It does phone stuff.
It's more or less the same shit, some are just a little nicer than others, especially when it comes to battery and camera, in which the S7 is great.
What are you even asking about?
