How much longer till ZeroNet becomes the new internet?
Protip : Soon
>>55969501
Protip: never, no matter how much you try to push it.
Zeronet is one gaping hole of a flaw followed by the largest security risk ever conceived after a privacy nightmare and it never ends. It's not just a bunch of issues that can be patched. Everything from the very core of zeronet makes it unsuitable for any use whatsoever.
>>55969575
Please provide more informations about those flaws.
Protip: you can't

You obviously don't know how to use a computer so you might as well
Currently blocking the anniversary update by setting my connections as metered. Should I just pull the trigger since I'm already on home edition?
I've been playing with RAM timings, using SuperPi as a benchmark. I'm getting a strange result on these timings.
1866MHz 9-10-11-27-44
1866MHz 11-11-11-27-44
11-11-11 is consistently getting a faster result than 9-10-11, even though the timings are looser. Can this be explained?

Just update, you'll have to at some point anyway.
You're already deep in the botnet.

Is getting a SSD worth it on a new PC?
>>55969172
a ssd is the most noticable and worthwhile upgrade you can do.
get a samsung or intel ssd.
dont bother with other manufacturers.
kingston is kinda ok but not quite up to snuff.
no upgrade you will make will be as noticable as an ssd.
not to mention the speed gains accross the board will be consistent for unlike with hdds.
>>55969274
What if I want to save money. Should I do SSHD?
YES.
Disk performance is increasingly critical to system performance. Disks are barely getting faster, while RAM is getting moderately faster and CPU is quickly becoming a surplus resource. Dollar for dollar, an SSD is probably the most critical component for your actual experience using the machine. You can always have a big spinning disk or external hard drive on the side for your media.

They are trying to push any business using Windows to enterprise. Pro is just Home+ now, basically.
Note that you can still disable that crap manually, just not with group policy.

I want it to be mandatory that if you deliberately misuse site functions or try and import BBCode or other sites' functions like @ from Twitter, you should get an auto ban with a link to 4chan's FAQ.

I've heard freeBSD's security is really bad -- true?

Free is focused on data storage/ZFS.
Open is focused on security.
Net is focused on portability (running on lots of devices)
Ever since i got a decent gaming pc i don't want to play any games anymore. Anyone relate?

Same here, I'd rather game on a piece of crap. Autismal as fuck.
Guilty as charged.
philosophically speaking one desires things unowned and upon acquiring said things one doesn't want shit no mo
IMPORTANT, FOR LG G4 OWNERS.
So, in a previous thread many LG G4 users were complaining about display burn-in, including me. I hypothesized of a counter-burn-in and IT WORKS, at least for me.
Displaying a full black image for a long time (i went for 40 minutes) actually makes the magic. I had an annoying burn-in caused by the top bar and now it's completely gone. Colors don't seem to be affected negatively from this trick.
Well, enjoy.
>>55968720
I've never had this problem on my LG G4.
Perfect phone except that I have the SEA version and can't install cyanogenmod. Oh well, at least I can keep it going for a pretty long time if the battery dies. Maybe LG will stop being gay and allow us to unlock the bootloader or just keep giving updates.
>>55968720
So I let the phone charged with the screen never going off?
>>55968720
Could someone explain the logic behind this?
is this shit usable yet?
Does it have cookie whitelisting?
do you feel the urge to use it? why? it's one of the worst browsers out there. it's a fucking mess.

because I'm still looking for a decent browser
Can I drag a tab from one window to a second monitor like I can in Chrome?
Why do AMD cards fail so often? Pic related.
DELETE THIS NVIDIOT
wtf i hate amd now
Can we at least get some context? What exactly is this?

I think I'm just going to erase Windows completely.
>>55968561
Is there a way to turn off this 'collecting error info' thing?
>>55968561
Works on my virtualbox :^)
>>55968589
By turning off your computer.
How do we future-proof Windows 7 so that it continues to work with new hardware in 10, 20 or 30 years time? I note that the first version of MS DOS, released in 1981, still works on modern 64-bit hardware and USB keyboard, so there is hope yes?
>the first version of MS DOS, released in 1981, still works on modern 64-bit hardware
That's because x86-64 CPUs can emulate 16-bit real mode operation, PC graphics cards can emulate CGA/VGA and USB controllers can emulate AT and PS/2 keyboards. All of those parts have extended capabilities beyond those emulated modes, none of which can be used by MS-DOS (Or any other DOS for IBM clones, for that matter)
>>55968550
7 is the new XP and if Microsoft decides to build a new kernel from the ground up after 10 then 7 will share XP's fate eventually.
>>55968550
Yes there is still hope, all you have to do is remove it from your hard drive and install a GNU/Linux distribution, such as gentoo
Hey /g/ I am going to be wall mounting my TV soon like some of you recommended to make my BST look much better.
I have come across one issue though, my Vostro 200 that will be used to hook up to the TV but has VGA only, which doesn't carry sound, I want to be able to play videos and music from the TV for entertainment purposes.
I don't want to buy a GPU because I don't really need it.
What can/should I do?
>>55968546
It should have a 3.5mm jack in to the tv for sound
>>55969754
No the TV doesn't have a 3.5mm jack, I wish it did, I could have just bought one of the VGA cables that brings it included.
>>55969814
Why not just get a set of speakers then?
Do we live in a simulation, /g/?
