I have a samsung galaxy s5, ive had it for a year or so. the text messaging on this phone is so slow even those with the most extensive patience would grow agitated. to open a recently received message could take up to 4 minutes without exaggeration, being able to type anything in response has taken up to 11 minutes. this is every single time a message occurs, the phone loses all functionality and struggles at what im assuming is 100% CPU usage for fucking text.
how is this even possible, i seriously want to know what my phones logic is thinking and trying to do that makes it work harder for simple text than it does for on the fly facial recognition during a snapchat video with the light on.
i genuinely dont understand. please enlighten me.

I have been feeling sick since last many years after I started to understand that all the advertisement are nothing but corporate propaganda and I do not wish to see them any more.
The reason I am asking this question in /tech/ is everything is running on technology.
TV, internet etc. And I pay for all the stuff to access and still I am forced to watch advertisement all over.
Can I opt out if I pay a little more or can I pay only for what I want to watch and not what they want me to watch ?
Help me out anons, and I request you please do shit in this post. I am already pissed of by advertisement.

Is there any monitors, perferly a small monitor that's around 19"-24" that can flip 90 degrees like pic related? So far it's all HD and such. Only alternative solution is getting a monitor and a different table stand that's compatable with it like some Dell monitors.
Anyone knows any inexpensive ones? I plan on using it as a system monitor, rain meter shit and reading articles.

/g/ recommended Linux mint to me a month ago and I'm regretting it. Thinking of giving Linux a second chance thanks to the large variety of options I get with it.
Is there any distro that isn't a fuck up or should I go back to windows 7?
What are some easy, beginner friendly distros?
I'm not afraid of terminal and cli, but I don't want to be forced to use it for basic functionality like mounting usb flash drives.

I had similar issues with Manjaro. I actually haven't experienced any nuisances on Arch, which you can install easily now with arch-anywhere.
Try Xubuntu.
