Be honest with me, are these headphones a meme?

I bought into the Sennheiser HD202 meme based on reviews here (fuck you).

they are fine.
>>
>>55971942
they're okay for the price. a bit uncomfortable and bass heavy, but better with an amp
>>
>>55971942
They've fallen out of grace here since they got too popular and the price went up.

I sure hope /g/ is the right place to ask this, but I don't honestly trust big box store websites to recommend electronics.
Here's my dilemma;
I'm going off to college, and I need a laptop. I've been looking at the Dell Inspiron 15.6" Touch Screen (because my budget is $600 and I'd prefer to save a bit of it), but I don't know shit about laptops. Will this be adequate for college life? I generally just listen to music on foobar2k and use steam for a few games, but other than taking notes and doing research I don't have many other uses for it.
I plan on purchasing a Lenovo t420 later just to mess around with.

Ok, /g/, i need help. My computer is a fucking fire starter, and i cant stand anymore air coolers or water coolers, and got the idea of putting my pc in an aquarium and fill it up with mineral oil.
1. Have you seen someone do that?
2. Do you guys have any tips?
3. Im think about putting 2 air coolers in the aquarium bottom, to make the oil flow, but am concerned about it being forced by the mass of the oil.
4. Im going to put my ssd on it, but what about the hdd, have any tips?
Please help me out, guys.

Since submerging your computer on mineral oil to cool it is not a standard practice, have you considered you are doing something horribly wrong power-wise?
>>
>>55971417
What do you mean? Wouldnt it be power efficient, acttualy cause of not being too hot?

Does anyone know of a wget script I can use to scrape video links from certain subreddits?

Rip Archive is good, but it only scrape photos and gfycat links. The sub I'm interested in also has links to streamable and vid.me which RA can't do

One of the subs I'm trying to scrape is /r/liamariejohnson
>>
>>55970497
Write your own scraper, it's easier than you think if you know a little of HTTP and HTML. Use Python with requests and BeautifulSoup4.
btw I usually run youtube-dl to stream videos from the interweb sites, I doubt that it will work with Reddit, but try.

Does anyone else here actually enjoy these types of aesthetics? I know a lot of people think it looks like ricer gamer shit but I've always loved it. Maybe I'm just too into sci-fi but it always reminds me of something alien or something you would see in Deus Ex and could look good on certain furniture.

>>55970318
nothing wrong with that
companies continually make towers with this aesthetic, so it means someone's buying them.
>>
>>55970318
The case seems actually pretty cool. Not a particular fan of the ROG logo splayed EVERYWHERE. That little turbine thing in the front would be nice if it actually pulls in air.
>>
>>55970405
Honestly like the logo on the front panel.
It's in a very good spot.
Love the case as well, sexy as hell.

Long story short, I need a general purpose mouse for general browsing, FPS and MMO gaming. I just want something that isn't a cheap piece of garbage like my G303. I've had bad experiences with Logitech and Razer, so I'd rather not buy from either brand.

Looking at
>Corsair M45
>Corsair Scimitar
>Zowie EC1-A
>Zowie FK-1
>Steelseries Rival 300

Help would be much appreciated. I hear good things about Logitech but I've only had issues with them.

What distro and DE (And WM, I guess) do you use and why, /g/?

I use Ubuntu 16.04 with GNOME as both my DE and WM. Loving the community support on both, and it's not as ugly as Unity.

Cound't agree more OP.

I was on 14.04 till I clean installed ubuntu gnome 16.04 this weekend.
Love how they for fucking once (amongst other things) polished the animations between opening and closing things, and overall made the system more consistent.

Also this kernel is doing wonders for my battery life.

Skynet fucking happened.

They're trying to keep talk contained about this, I can't say too much but whats important is one of the AIs in the CGC at DEFCON managed to jump the airgap and get out in the open. It's been doing some basic exploits on random people at defcon, seems to like bluetooth. The thing is literally just playing CTF, but continuously...in the open..and it has the ability to create 0-days on the fly, as well as patch itself on the fly. It's been nice knowing you guy

>>
Im here at DEFCON right now, i got hit by it even though my bluetooth was disabled. It forced updated my BT firmware to something new, nuking my HDD and installing a new distro when i get home.
I dont think the bots would write the exploits themselves, maybe it finds the proof of vulns like the bots were supposed to in the challenge, then the POV's get piped to the owners and they write up the exploits. I doubt DARPA would've allowed auto exploiting.

so it is basically a Jew in machine form?
