Hey mugs. Check out these 'free' games you get with a RX Vega. Only £100 extra!
(((FREE)))
There was never any mention of the naked GPU's being a limited time offer or the packs being the 'regular' price. The packs were seen as $100 extra for a discount off the hardware. Never was it mentioned that buying a pack for $100 extra means you effectively are paying for the games. If they advertise the games as 'free' then the base price of the GPU is $499 without a pack.
This is marketing bullshit at it's finest. I hope someone starts a lawsuit forcing them to reinburse everyone who purchased a pack their $100.

Nobody sane will buy it at that price to sue them. If they become viable for mining only the AIB partners will be fucked with the amounts of burned cards under warranty.
wait i thought the Intel X series was way overpriced and that memeripper was better?
it only costs $820 dollars for the CPU and Mobo
it costs $1344 on memeripper and slower performance

why would anyone buy AMD?
they have the slower GPU and CPU, 1080ti is still faster than any of the vega's
If you are doing any content creation work or any other application that utlizes more cores then TR is better, I render and encode videos so it would be more beneficial to me
What does this error message mean? Keep getting it while trying to access a link provided by my school (pretty important). Is this a problem on my end or theirs?

Looking to maybe upgrade my rig. But I'm having issues deciding exactly what I want to upgrade.
Over the years I've piecemeal upgraded component by component. Now with a shiny new generation of hardware out on the market, I've found myself at an impasse where I don't know what I need.
So I'm leaving it to you.
What is the item in this PC that needs upgrading the MOST?

Sorry, I meant more precisely for a desktop user. I wanted to see if the "userspace being made by the same guys as the kernel" provided a real advantage and my VM experience hasn't been very interesting.

Hello, /g/. Let's image that I have access to the source code for all the components of Windows 10. How could that be used to benefit Linux?
pic unrelated
>>61953615
It would be utterly useless. The source bases are so different, its only effect on Linux would be to make Microsoft sue developers again.
>>61953639
Would Direct X source code help Wine development, at least?
>>61953876
Wine don't want your contributions if you've even seen the closed-source code. It has to be a black box reimplementation. Look it up, they have it in the docs.
Is it safe to run flv files as much as any other video container like mkv?
When I see flash in file extension I am little scared
you should be very careful because a flv can flash your memory and overwrite the firmware
>>61953601
Use ffmpeg to convert it to mp4 you pussy

Pirated that game of thrones episode huh. Just get the fucking ~500mb x265 file.
Hey guys, I need your honest, brutal advice here.
I'm interested in the field of law enforcement, HR, counseling, and IT--IT was originally the only thing that I was pursuing. I was chasing a CIT degree (Computer Information Technology), and I began to realize--the more I went on--that IT may not actually be the right field for me.
I'm not really interested in programming, so I would be working in system administration or something similar if I did go with into it.
I want to keep myself open to all of those career paths mentioned, as well as to any others that I may find interest in. I know that counseling usually requires a Master's degree.
I'm thinking of doing Communications with a minor in Psychology. I was thinking that if I wanted to continue into IT, I would be able to use certifications/my portfolio of experience to sell myself. I also thought that having an education in communications/psychology would help set me apart in the sense that I could make a good project management leader or spokesperson/customer service person for the company's IT department.
In pursuing an education in Communications and Psychology, I also thought that I would be keeping myself more open to careers in law enforcement, HR, and counseling when compared to CIT. My friend and I had a bit of discussion about this, though, and he thinks that even if I pursued a degree in CIT, I would be just as better off getting into those career fields when considering the stigma Communications and Psychology can carry and the power of a STEM degree.
At the end of the day, I just want to be able to find the career that will make me happy the most and not be limited. I think that getting a CIT degree would only make me marketable in the IT field but a Communications degree w/ minor in Psychology would make me marketable in all of those fields.
Am I thinking about this right? What does everyone else think?

Insurance companies won't pay for your services unless you have a PhD.
Join the military. That's the only thing not yet being replaced with H1Bs or outsourced. Also you should really stop taking life advice from anonymous neet weeaboos on the internet.
