Let's say you (and your girlfriend/boyfriend/friend) are going out in a hike in the boonies for a couple of days.
You want to bring your smartphones with you, and use them like a smartphone - for chatting, internet browsing, mail-reading, downloading apps and so on.

Luckily, your friend has a solar charger which can charge two phones at once to ~56%, provided it has absorbed enough energy.

What changes would you do to your (and his/her) phone if she lets you, so you could get the most usage while retaining the modern features of a smartphone? Oh, and also airplane mode during the day is forbidden; people should be able to call you.

How come every Windows (or Linux) PC can always get system updates instantly, but Android can't and most phones never receive any?
