660 ti should be pretty even with a 950?
680 is even with the 960 from what I've seen.

Therefore, 480 will be a massive upgrade, it'll be around 390/390x performance which puts it on par with the 980.

And 8GB. Always go for the option with more vram, especially if you plan on keeping it for more than 2 years.

So happy I got the 4gb gtx 680.

Somewhat below the 390 actually, and more comparable with the GTX 970.
Still not bad for the price though.

I made a batch file to move files to another folder. The problem is that I stupidly had the "move" command BEFORE the "make directory" command. So, it moved the files into a "file" with no extension. Does anyone know how to get them out?

Rename the file.

It's just a renamed version of the last file moved. The earlier ones are gone.

http://www.theverge.com/2016/8/10/12421350/new-macbook-pro-touchscreen-strip-features-rumors-bloomberg

>Apple is preparing a big update to its MacBook Pro line of laptops. KGI Securities analyst Ming-chi Kuo first revealed that Apple is planning to replace the function keys on the MacBook Pro with an OLED touch bar, and now Bloomberg's Mark Gurman is confirming the initial reports. The new MacBook Pros are said to be slightly thinner than current models, with a slightly wider trackpad and an option for AMD Polaris graphics in at least one model.

>Bloomberg says that Apple isn't planning to unveil the new MacBook Pros at an event on September 7th, where it's expected to launch a new iPhone and additional Apple Watch models. Apple is also expected to include USB Type-C on the new MacBook Pro, alongside a Touch ID fingerprint reader. "Apple has tested versions of the upcoming laptops that integrate the scanner beside the new function key display," explains Bloomberg's Gurman. Apple is also rumored to be considering gray, gold, and silver color options for the new MacBook Pro.

Jesus I am glad I bought the current gen rmbp.
I joked with some coworkers the early 2015s will go down in history as the last good Apple laptops.

Are PCI NIC always better than integrated ones?
I'm on Gigabit Fiber internet and I don't quite get the max speed, even on LAN tests I'm not at 1Gb/s.
I heard intel NIC are god tier, do they all have CPU offload?

>>
>>56042094
Without a doubt your router is your bottleneck, not your NIC.

Your plastic chinkshit router probably caps way under 1GB/s. There's very few that are capable of true wirespeed transfer, and those are more of an "enthusiast" class like the ubiquiti edgerouter.
>>
>>56042143
I know it's capable of routing 1Gb/s I know because it's the ISP's router (chipset BCM43570), so many customers have it and they report speetest of 1Gb/s
>>
>>56042175
That model is a wireless radio. That chip has nothing to do with hard ethernet.

should I check the boxes of every feature I wanto to be restricted on per application level basis

what I did so far was go to settings from the main page
under fake data, I checked
altitude
Mac address
IMEI
phone number

it seems all applications are following the spoofed data, is there any point of going into each application and fucking around with its settings beyond this

>have desktop boxed in a corner of the top floor of a three story house
>router is bottom floor and shit anyway
>connection is absolute balls, parents won't have ethernet going all through the house
>get wifi extender, seems to occasionally fuck up the connection for everyone
at my wit's end here

can anyone confirm that wifi extenders can cause interference on the main signal? Google results aren't very clear but they suggest some sort of feedback effect makes the router shit itself as a result of heavy use.

if so, can /g/ offer any recommendations for a device that will allow me to receive the wifi signal in another room and then send it to my PC through ethernet? Like an extender, except instead of emitting a second wifi signal it just sends it through the cable and causes no interference. I looked through the wiki, but it doesn't seem to have what I need.

There are plenty of small-businesses that can helped by organizing data and automating tasks using a Raspberry Pi. As you get a few customers, you would have already written a lot of reusable code that you can keep selling.

Why aren't you cashing in?
6 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Partly because the type of person who wants to write code is not the type of person who wants to put himself out there to get jobs, or deal with the "pleebs" who hire him.

Also small businesses can't utilize it and big businesses don't want to fuck around with some dude who will leave them without support, and most likely shitty code.

It's better to buy the business, implement improvements, then sell it after revenue is up.
>>
So what tasks could I automate with a raspi that they couldn't just automate with their regular servers?
