Will Google abandon ChromeOS?

We are not abandoning ChromeOS. It has a pretty extensive roadmap and will simply come closer to the Android ecosystem over time.

It's not for people that are super concerned about the speed of their hard drive or how new their CPU is. It's for a market that wants to use the best versions of Adobe or casual consumers who have had bad experiences with Windows.
The 21.5" model is targeted at people who'd normally buy a laptop but prefer a desktop for whatever reason. Everyone I know who actually does work with their desktop has a setup with one or more 27" QHD monitors or one of those utlrawide things that are popular lately.
If you look at the 27" model, you get something that looks a lot more like a desktop. It uses a desktop i5 and desktop HD, leaving the GPU and RAM as the only mobile components.
That said I don't think I'd buy a 27" model either. I'd prefer a mid-level headless tower akin to the old entry-level Powermac towers, but it would seem that Apple wants to upsell those with needs beyond a desktop AIO to the cylinder Mac Pro whether they need it or not. This is the single largest driving factor for the increasing popularity of hackintoshing.
>>56081959
Yea I don't know what they're thinking offering only the Mac Pro for a legitimate desktop computer.

I lease my modem/router from my ISP and they don't allow their users to log into it. I've read I can bypass this by connecting another router to it and putting one into "bridge mode", and I have a few questioned about that.
Will my speeds be bottlenecked if I hook up a "worse" router? Can devices connect to either of them, or will previously connected devices need to be reconnected?
Why don't you just buy your own router and modem?
>>56081555
I'd like to, but I still live with my parents. They'd only be satisfied if I bought the same one, and that's $200.
I'd like to be able to just set this up and be the only one to connect to it, and leave everyone else connected to the first router. Is that possible?
All I want to do is have the ability to forward ports to host gameservers.
One. Get a decent router that you can mod/flash later. Decent enough investment to get a better grasp of what your router can do and is capable of in the future. Plus it's fun turning old routers into semi-femtocells.
2. Two: Why not just share the router? Or (probably out of technical range for most) create an VLAN for something unique to you. But if you absolutely must, get a decent router regardless.

The only bezels that matter are the side ones. Having bezels on top and bottom is good and it doesn't really affect how big it 'feels'.

Hey /g/ just wanted to call you out on your bullshit real quickly. You complain about Operating Systems that """spy""" on (You) and argue that it doesn't matter whether you are hiding something or not, because everyone is entitled to privacy. Many of these SAME people also choose to use FOSS software. If you are one of those people who falls into both categories, I have this to say to you. Why on Earth do you only use open source if you do not audit the code? Face it, your reasoning behind this is because you assume that if a program is open source it has "nothing to hide". Yet, you demolish the argument of "nothing to hide" when someone suggested you should just use Windows. It's a double standard, you and I both know it and you specifically cherrypick exceptions to your self-disciplinary principles so you feel that your actions align with your ideaology.
Try to retort without calling me a cuck, shill, fag, etc. and instead prove me wrong:)
>Pic related is (You)
>>56080563
I'm only partly using FOSS software, but let me explain my thing.
Imagine the Panopticon concept. Put yourself in the middle, in the tower, where you can look at them, but they can't look at you.
The prisoners are the devs.
They behave as if they're constantly watched, which prevents them from trying to pull shit like this.
>>56080563
Well
Hum
Look at you
Windows spys on you for a fact
Linux doesn't
what about that smart guy
>>56080563
I audit my system through monitoring my network and the use of a firewall. Admittedly, this is not the same as auditing the source code of the various softwares I use, however, if things can't get in and out without my permission, I really don't care. I've yet to find anything malicious in anything I've installed.
Knowing how "autistic" the Linux community can be has put my mind at ease as well because there are definitely people out there who do examine the source code and they would definitely point out any faults.
Can anybody help me? New computer. Leds on motherboard light up but fans arent running, wont start bios
