On windows:
>want to install latest NVIDIA drivers
>download .exe installer and install
>takes 15 minutes and its done! so easy! wow!
Now, on linux
>Go to additional drivers
>Click NVIDIA binary driver
>Click apply changes
>takes 3 minutes to download
>restart computer to make sure its completed
>black screen
>andsoitbegins.jpg
>google how to fix
>i have to run "sudo apt-get purge nvidia*" to remove the broken drivers
>boot into linux safe mode
> go to command line
>try to do it
>ERROR! FILE SYSTEM READ ONLY!!!!
>"mount -o rw,remount /"
>finally i remove the drivers
>reboot into linux, try to install again
>doesn't work.jpg
>apparently the black screen issue is caused by not having "nomodeset" in the grub settings
>add it and it works temporarily
>need to figure out how to edit grub permanently
>"sudo nano /etc/default/grub"
>"sudo update-grub"

can i unlock somebody's iphone x with a picture of the owners face?
like a facebook profile picture that anybody can access
Since everyone else is gonna give you a meme answer, lemme tell ya why this wouldn't work.
The face itself is scanned by a sensor on the phone that puts out little invisible lazer beams that measure the depth of the face on multiple points, on top of face recognition. So to answer? No.
Forth is the greatest programming language there ever was
For once OP is not a faggot
Wow, OP's not gay.
You're definitely not a homosexual, OP
Why can't every operating system have an updating protocol similar to Chrome OS?
It's fucking seamless and painless. Almost invisible.
>>62472894
Because other OSs have more functions than just checking gmail and running a web browser.
>>62472947
You forgot downloading huge amounts of strange pornography
>>62472947
Well, you have some point.
Imagine complaining about your wage and then going and buying:
>A new iPhone every year
>A new Apple© macBook™ pro every year
>A new TV every couple of years
>A new car (on lease) every 3 years
What the fuck is wrong with people?
>>62472780
>"""""""""""""""""people"""""""""""""
>>62472780
you are right about the macfag stuff but a 55" 4k tv is less than $300 now and lasts more than 2 years.
And I personally know no one that leases a car.
>>62472987
Not sure which country you're in, but here everybody drives a 50k+ car leased over 3 years so they can appear rich
Seemed like a place for smart people to go to act brain dead. Why was it removed?
because it was a place for smart people, which was off brand for 4chan

>Bought a GTX 1080ti
>Bought a Ryzen 5 1600
>Bought some 3200mhz ram
>Can't even buy a cooler now for my CPU
Lads, be honest here. Will the stock Ryzen cooler be adequate or not? I do plan on overclocking. Pretty much immediately actually. I've heard the Ryzen cooler is pretty good for a stock cooler, but as to how true that is, well I just don't know.
I'll want to be hitting 3.8-4.0ghz ideally.
>Bought a Ryzen
you fucked up
>>62472358
Immediately got 3.8 on stock voltages, nice and cool. But seriously, you didn't need to make an entire thread for this.
>>62472358
Why not just wait till you can afford the cpu cooler before overclocking? Just run stock for now.

What are poor people so obsessed with iPhone? Is it because they want to be accepted by everyone?
Poor people are obsessed with iPhone for the same reason middle class and rich people are obsessed with iPhone, the reason everyone is obsessed with iPhone.
>>62472140
>people SO POOR they think $29/mo products are status symbols
Niggers get distracted by shiny objects.
Until this summer 64 bit firefox on GNU/Linux had perfect performance even with 200+ tabs open.
Now firefox shits itself when I have over 60 tabs open.

do you know where we are
This is the biggest pile of shit ever. It can't do even simple shit that other browsers could do since version 0.01.
0) Want to help seed a file
1) Download the .torrent file
2) Already have a file so I placed it into ~/Downloads (the default downloads directory)
3) Start qB by double-clicking on a .torrent file
4) qB gets stuck in some kind of a file checking loop and it never seeds the file... progress bar just jumps around like mad
Unbelievable. I've tried a lot of meme shit that gets pushed around here but this is the biggest one yet.
I'm back to Transmission.
