Hey /g/, I was wondering if anyone could help me with boosting an FM Transmitter. I purchased the Doosl FM Transmitter off Amazon, thinking I could watch a video or two and figure it out. I could not. I was wondering if someone could tell me what to remove, replace with wire, etc. as I'm pretty inexperienced with circuitboards this small. (Pic related is the transmitter) Thanks!
Should mention: I have an antenna to attach to it, if that helps any

Of course!
Why don't they sell parts to put together laptops like they do desktops? It can't be that complicated, we deserve affordable laptops.
>>56169286
They do, it's just to a lesser extent.
Hard drives and RAM are easily put together/replaceable.
CPU's...somewhat, much more limited than desktop sockets.
GPU's, with modern day laptops, sol as they're either usually integrated into the CPU, Chipset, or motherboard itself.
I agree with you though, actually. We need to start having laptops be as modular and replaceable as desktops now.
I mean it's the current year.
>>56169286
Because laptop manufacturers love propietary design bullshit. Apart from that, laptop guts are cramped and not much fun to meddle with for the most part.
>>56169323
Even the process of adding a simple SSD to my laptop is almost not worth it it's so overly complicated.
Are comments really necessary for proper code or is it just a bs practice like having your hands at 4 and 8 o'clock on the steering wheel?

Welcome to /fglt/ - Friendly GNU/Linux Thread.
Users of all levels are welcome to ask questions about GNU/Linux and share their experiences.
*** Please be civil, notice the "Friendly" in every Friendly GNU/Linux Thread. ***
Before asking for help, please check our list of resources[*].
If you would like to try out GNU/Linux you can do one of the following:
0) Install a GNU/Linux distribution of your choice in a Virtual Machine using VirtualBox or other software made for this puporse for safety purposes.
1) Use the Live ISO (if your distribution of choice has one) to boot directly into the GNU/Linux distribution without installing anything, that way, you can get to experience the GNU/Linux operating system without installing it.
2) Dual boot the GNU/Linux distribution of your choice along with Windows or macOS, this is recommended if you want to know more about the GNU/Linux operating system.
3) Go balls deep and replace everything with GNU/Linux.

>qBittorrent doesn't run in OpenBSD
Back to Linux I guess
Do people who run Windows have a mental deficiency that warrants government assistance? Most Windows users I meat in real life seem to have some form of high-functioning down syndrome. They're able to be taught to use office software and sometimes even to code basic programs, but they can only do it with an IDE that does all the work that requires intelligence for them. Put them in front of a text editor and they shit themselves, they have no idea how to write a program from scratch without a GUI holding their hand. I don't even know how you can call these people real programmers, but I guess if you get paid 25k/year to maintain visual basic programs you're technically a "programmer", even if you can't actually build a program without the IDE....
Okay so, I've still not gotten anywhere with my installation of mint. Even Ubuntu had these issues which is why I've never been able to install Linux on my machine. I've been trying to install it via USB.
> enabled port emulation in bios
> unplugged literally everything
> tried rufus over universal installer
> tried different usb port
> tried to disable usb3 controller in bios
> tried a different distro (albeit an Ubuntu one)
> Google doesn't give any results, error 32 seems to be unique
> tried defaults in bios
Has anyone here tried Ubuntu touch?
Thinking of installing it on my Nexus 5 now that I've upgraded. How stable is it?
Can I use hdmi out to use it like a pc?
How's performance compared to Android?
Bump?
I want it so bad.
hmmm it should be able to run on RN3P right?
Wouln't mind running this babby on that joint.

This is not true for all games - source engine games like Left 4 Dead 2 run faster in GNU/Linux than in Windows
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgfCjvPSmVI
The video is a little outdated, so consider that the ubuntu used in the video is three years old, and that only marginal improvements have been made in performance from windows 8 to windows 10
>>56169080
To answer your question, developers have little financial incentive to produce games that are well optimised for operating systems that aren't Windows, since Windows comprises most of the desktop PC market share
You know, one day I'm going to develop a game engine made specifically for Linux the same way developers make game engines specifically for Windows just so >>>/v/ faggots like you can shut up

I have a 2012 32gb model nexus 7 that was beast as fuck when I got it, but like most young men, it got old and fucking a pain in the ass to use before its time. I mean, I use it now to read books, comics, and pre-downloaded movies... but it's slow AF.
So I got off my ass and rooted it, put Bodhi linux on it, but the soft-kb stops working when I try to use the command line, and the apk manager wont work. My little bluetooth kb wont work because there is no bluetooth option.
What are some good OS
s to dual boot with my device?
Also, free discussion on fixing old-tec with new software general I guess.
