Good goyim get tracked and watch ads!

ok guys here's the 411
long time lurker first time poster, if anyone can help its you guys.

my friends fiance is expecting child and was on a facebook mothers group reading advice threads and getting prepped
there was a post from a woman asking about a website called "absolutely kate". she says that a noticeable amount of money each month goes from her husbands account to this website, i will add the link below, all it is is a blank screen with a password box and thats it.

im no IT whizz but someone else on the group posted to say her husband works in IT and although he could not get through he could confirm that everyone has the same password not individual acounts.
would anyone be able to shed some light on this mysterious site? what it is, whats ehind the password? prostitute? secret wedding gift/honeymoon planner? hitman? cp? mysterious indeed.

also when they checked back later the original post was deleted.

Why do computers need to update all the fucking time?
8 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
because they're complex and people keep finding bugs that need to be fixed.
>>
The chinks and the Slavs are actively trying to break them, so we actively need to fortify them.
>>
>>56172053
go download windows xp and browse using ie 11 for a month and you will see why updates are important.

Why is /g/ bitching so much about the pricing of this generations graphics cards?
25 posts and 7 images submitted.
>>
>>56171945
Because we're in the future where price should go down. Specially when you pump out new technology this fast as many companies do.
>>
>gtx 1060
>$249

Yeah, sure. Good luck finding one for under $400
>>
>>56171966
Cards consume less power, you're saving like 15 dollars a year on these new cards compared to the old ones.

Also, why should gtx x60 or r9 x80 cards cost less now than they did before?

I wanted to write to my personal blog for a moment and say how impressed I am with ubuntu.

Drivers for Wifi and touch work out of box. Netflix natively works in chrome (I wouldn't mind an explenation on that one...html5?) and I haven't had to fuck with too much in terminal to get how I want my browser experience to be.

Honestly I'm surprised to say that at this point the average windows 10 user could use Ubuntu.

My last experience was 3-4 years ago and getting flash installed to watch youtube without artifacting was more problems than it should have been.

Basically the point to this is if you're lurking and on the fence about Linux especially with all the windows 10 bullshit updates as of recently then you'll have no issues picking up this OS. Don't feel discouraged to use it because someone on /g/ said it was Linux baby's first OS.

What is /g/'s opinion on this?

I like their syncing to the cloud feature when you install the application.

They also encrypt files when they are transferred and can only be accessed with a key when they are shared.

I really want to like Python, in fact, I like most of it, functionally. However there is one major drawback that causes persistent irritation for me.

There is no official multi line comment support, and using ''' ''' is just complete garbage. Furthermore, I really dislike using the octothorpe, #, as a comment. It's extremely disappointing in comparison to other alternatives, such as a basic
/* Comment, can be multi line too */
or
--[[ Wow look, they made a modification to the single line comment to make it multi line, and -- already looks so much better than #, --]]

yes there is. it's documented here: https://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0257/
>using ''' ''' is just complete garbage
that's the official multiline comment support. i don't know how to help you with stuff that triggers you except to tell you to go see a therapist or something.

>furthermore, I really dislike using the octothorpe... it's extremely disappointing
it's an octothorpe. i don't think i've ever been more certain that you need therapy. it's an almost purely cosmetic choice.

if you wanted to bitch about binding time or typing or something about the design of the language itself, this would be an interesting conversation. but it sounds like you just don't like the look of some syntactic choices.

That's correct. I think it looks like shit. And you're wrong, that isn't multi line comment, it's a docstring. You discredited yourself, anyway.

That makes two problems. A hideous comment mechanism, and a lack of proper/ official multi line support.
>>
Nobody, not even you read your shitty comments on your fizzbuzz implementation

I use single line comments on huge comment blocks JUST because of faggots like you

Youre asking the impossible anon

What's a good service that can used to gather feedback from web site users?

Github requires people have a Github account to report issues, and I don't think my users have Github accounts.
7 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
what kind of feedback are you looking for?

if you can measure it yourself (e.g. how long did they spend on the site), just add tracking scripts.

if you want open ended feedback like "there's a bug here", then you either need to roll your own bugtracker or fall back to email or something. adding a little "found a problem? email [email protected]" footer to every page should be easy and will do 90% of the job most people will need done.
