I need a replacement for the software on pic, but that works on Linux.
Basically I need a tool to print multiple images on one paper sheet.
>Gimp
No, that's time consuming, I need something that can remember sizes and positions on the sheet, so I can just drag and drop the images, and the print without having to manually resize every image.
I'm considering open source as well as closed source, free or paid, and even software that work well under wine.
no, software on pic doesn't work under wine.
Why? Because if I can replace this one software I might be able to start using only Linux at my work.
>>56183599
Does the libreoffice suite do something like that?
>>56184614
is not exactly like fotoslate, because with libreoffice I still have to set the size for every image, while with fotoslate I would make a template with 3 slots size 4X6, and then I just add as many copies of that template as I need. like for 9 4X6 i need 3 templates, then I just drag and drop the images inside this slots.
Once the template is made it takes me 5 minutes to seat 30 images and print them in any size i need (without counting the actual print time). While with libreoffice it could take me half an hour.
But it doesn't have to be free and open source like libreoffice, I will be happy to pay even if it's closed source
Did you try running fotoslate in wine?
how is it possible that 73,000 man years have been spent fine-tuning the Linux kernel?
>>56183576
Lots and lots of contributors working on it for multiple decades. It's one of humankind's crown achievements.
>>56183602
How big is the Linux kernal? what kinds of things could take that much time to do?
>>56183576
And that's just from installing gentoo.

Hi /dpt/
I'm a CS student/c++ programming, looking to try my hand at web development. I want to make a personal website.
My question: Where is the best place to buy a domain? Does it matter?
Just started using Moebuntu.
Feels pretty comfy.
Why aren't you using it too?

How many of you actually call it GNU/Linux in a conversation? Or are you too much of a pussy to even mention Linux around a group of Apple loving hipsters?
I call it linux because everyone, even normies, knows what that is.
>>56183378
This. I also happen to think that Stallman is unjustified in demanding a share of the credit, considering that the kernel is the thing that determines the fundamental character of the operating system. The GNU coreutils, C library, and so on can all be swapped out for non-GNU alternatives, though they often are not. The only GNU software that's essential is GCC for building the kernel. And you don't see Microsoft talking about the latest version of Visual C++/Windows.
>>56183354
I call it GNU/Linux in writing only, but I do so at my job.
alright fags how do i get my windows to install 64 bit when my pc started as 64 bit windows 8 and won't install windows 10 64 bit? what faggotry is this?

I resisted KDE for years because of the 'it's too bloated' meme, but I finally tried it with a new Kubuntu install and my computer isn't a piece of shit. I am so impressed. This is the most complete desktop computing experience possible on GNU/Linux that I've experienced. It's responsive, not ugly (in regards to Plasma anyway), intuitive, just werks and most importantly it's perfectly useable for productive day to day computing.
It's perfect.
Why doesn't everyone use KDE now?
It's still bloated compared to all other DEs except maybe Unity.
plasma is nice, but man, that thing is bloated to shit
>>56183055
but if your computer isn't total shit then that's a non-issue. I used to resist the entire DE because of the bloat but my computer is running this as fast as anything.
I just upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 7. Why haven't you upgraded yet?

Because I upgraded to Ubuntu MATE 16.04.
Why aren't you finding exploits in botnet CPanels and stealing all their bots and logs to get rich as fuck?
You guys are NEETs, arent you? So you have plenty of time to find vulnerabilities. Why aren't you doing this?
>>56182849
because i have low iq
>>56182849
Great way to wind up with a bullet in your head.Any botnet worth going after, is not worth going after.
>>56182961
They don't even kill security researchers and malware analysts who blog about their escapades. You think they'll shoot someone for stealing their bots a few times?
Besides it doesn't have to be some massive botnet. All you'd need is to find an exploit in a certain version of a specific one and then easily take over a bunch of skid's botnets
>tfw want to get pic related but don't want to purchase a new monitor before Black Friday
1070 seems like total overkill for 1080p 60hz, but on the other hand if I wanted to get a 144hz 1080p monior or even 1440p the RX 480 wouldn't be good enough without turning settings down a good deal.
