Hey, /g/, I never post here but there's a major issue I'm having. I don't know if I'm going insane, before I factory reset my computer, I had a program that overclocked my GPU that looked like it was made by Nvidia (not completely sure). It's interface looked like GPU-Z, but it had a button on the bottom right that let you overclock the GPU. I've been scouring the internet and I haven't been able to find the program. Can I get some help here?

There's a secret program on your computer, thought to be only used as a NSA backdoor. Within said program one can change anything about how the computer behaves, from fan speeds to RAM cicles and even overclocking, so in case you are a threat a simple switch can be flipped.
If you're good you can hack into it.

Nvidia inspector
Post your results.

clicked extremehd preset, not sure why it's saying custom here
gpu is a HD7850, 2G, running on mesa/radeonsi (foss driver)

I guess with the proprietary driver you could get better performance.
>>56189581
probably, but the free one is more flexible, runs with the latest kernels, is more stable, and is fast enough for my purposes

Can someone please post a good config file?
Just installed this on linux and I'm currently usingvo=opengl-hq:interpolation:tscale=mitchell:scale=ewa_lanczossharp
video-sync=display-resample
With this is looks pretty good, but during some scenes there is a distorted line going through the middle of my screen (kind of looks like the display is refracted at an angle for a very thin row).
Are there any better configurations I can use?
So my desktop doesnt have Wifi and my Ethernet cord doesnt reach it. So i am using my laptop to share the wifi and using my Ethernet to get it from my laptop.
Here is the issue. My laptop sometimes try to connect to my Ethernet which is connected to the laptop and my desktop so the internet turns off and it goes back on to the wifi. How do i stop this from happening?

Get a power line adapter.

>>56188824
Get a longer ethernet cable.
will this get CM13/14 support?
>>56188782
what is it? modern phones all look the same
>>56189677
It's the moto g4. That little square on the bottom is the fingerprint scanner. It still uses software navigation buttons.
It has a protruding camera bump and an otherwise flat back, too
Thanks, Lenovo!
It will get cm13/14 support.
Hey guys,
Would this build suit AAA gaming plus using shit like Unity and Blender?

>>56188524
I need normies to buy my crap.
once you've done a few months of advertising google will optimize this stuff for you
you need to get going for it to see what kind of people are seeing your ads and who it needs to target

A nifty little alife simulation with square amoeba-like creatures. The creatures first learn to expand, then they manage to defend themselves and reproduce. Their genome can get pretty big after a while as their behaviour gets more complex.
To run just download the source and open the index.html file in your browser of choice (it will work on firefox or chrome, but chrome is recommended due to faster java). The squaregenes.js file can be edited to change all the settings of the simulation.
If the standard file is too slow try this compact version that should run somewhat faster (also some settings changed for ease of use):

Is this similar to Conway's game of life?

in a way, yes, but without fixed rules and with different cell types.
Hey /g/ why is it that Speccy only sees 2Gb out of the 6 on my GPU, I've noticed this with people posting Speccy screenshots using other 10 series GPU's as well. I'm not trying to say that it's not all there because other applications like GPU-Z have no problem with reading the Vram I'm just curious if this is a caveat with the new Nvidia series or if this happens every time a new GPU comes out.
because speccy was last updated in December of 2015? And that update was to fix a windows 10 issue, not adding any actual hardware detection support.
Speccy sucks and is never updated, end of story.
>>56188055
Oh that makes sense, thanks for the answer anon, I didn't know if it was something to do with the way that speccy handled hardware detection or something like what you said.
>>56188047
>3.5 out of 4 wasn't enough
>now you're only getting 2 of of 6GB of functional vram
Is there a way I can read my Linux system mail from Thunderbird or my phone on another PC? I want to get notifications about pending updates but don't want to ssh in every day to check my mail.
>>56187325

Code a free and open source site where people can submit porn videos which uses 100% free as in freedom toys which uses the Linux kernel to work.
