Yes...its for my vaporizer. I quit smoking...yada yada...it is what it is. But from what I can tell there are only a handful of actual Li-Ion 18650 mfgs. Protected circuit or not. Mine are approx. 65mm long and I don't think I can fit a 68mm internally protected circuit. Then again seeing what happened to my friends motorcycle I doubt the internal circuitry. So...what should I buy and from where I won't get chinese bull?

flash drive
>>
Now that I think about it depends on what it's for

>bootable drive
for linux

>usb storage
if it's only meant to hold this

>"X" drive
if it's only meant to hold X for example the one that's been in my car for 5 years

also curious what everyone calls it based on region of the world, for example the pop/soda/"coke" for usa. midwest reporting, everyone says flash drive and very rarely USB drive. Have never heard pen drive, or thumb drive, except online.

Because we know freetard shills get triggered so easily.
Most of us dualboot Windows with another Linux distro, but shit on Linux just because their fanboys are the most annoying pieces of shit which has ever existed, FAR worse than apple sheeps.

I have an old Atari 2600 and i wanted to hook it up to my HD Projector just for the hell of it. The only video output the Atari has is coaxial and my Projector and Receiver only have RCA and HDMI. I have seen that many people use old VCR's but that seems absurd to have to plug in another electric appliance just to get the conversion. They make tons of RCA to Coaxial adaptors but i havent found one that is Coaxial to RCA. Is using a VCR the only way to achieve this?

The Atari is putting out an RF signal. You'll need an RF to composite adapter, simply getting a coaxial male to RCA female won't do the job (unless your projector has an antenna input.)

A VCR conveniently does this, and most people have one lying around; which is why you often see people using that.
>>
>>56204639
Alternative is to modify the Atari and add connectors that directly output video and audio signals.
>>
Forget using TV and use a USB TV tuner stick on channel 3.

Buying 2k/4k monitors

refresh rate's not important, don't want video games to go over 60fps anyway.

So I want to buy a 4k monitor mainly for fapping because I'm sick of having to zoom in with large photos. Also it will be fun playing some games in 4k. I don't want 2k, want to go for the best of the best. I hear 8k monitors are a meme and there's no point waiting for 'em to go down in price, and I don't see any reason to not buy into 4k at this point because it's just going to become more mainstream.

I don't know what my price range would be. I'd like something cheap as Hell but obviously I'm prepared to spend upwards of $1000 if necessary.

Yeah if people are going to say it's not worth spending $1000 on a fap-station another massive reason is I want to try out this 4k blu-ray stuff that's coming out to replace blu-ray. I know it's not actually 4k so I could just get a 2k monitor for that, but whatever.

not so bad price-wise. What exactly should I be looking out for when checking monitors? The only issues I know of are screen-tearing and dead-pixels. Should I be looking for the cheapest monitor that doesn't have lots of notable feedback mentioning these issues, or are there other things that factor in?

No device is secure when the perpetrator has physical access to device. Windows stores the keys hashed (cracked years ago), iOs has lockscreen bypass bugs, Android has custom recoveries (can delete the lock). Don't even bother, disk encryption is all you need (against government. To normies, lock is enough.)

Hey /g/,

Would the Bluboo Maya be a good phone for a person that does not use a lot of storage? It is a new phone but it is cheap as fuck but that still does not make it a good phone just because it is so cheap. What are your thoughts on this phone?

Nope don't get it. You can get the Blu r1. And it's a safer bet. Also I would also recommend the Moto g3 or g4. The Maya is a bad chink phone.

What are some linux alternatives to the followings applications?

>Silverlight (for netlfix)
>FL Studio (Music production)

Also, is there any wireless adapters that are sure things with the latest kernel? My PCI-E wireless card hasn't been working for a month since I tried to transition. Been rocking hardwire looking for a compatible device.

i have never used a password manager before.

Nah thats fine. I saw it mention that firefox was another candidate which that would be fine too. but those two are totally fine a lot of stuff runs apache it would be very valuable to have it audited. Same thing with keepass it would be great to confirm that its encryption is sound.

Good on them

Still one more letter than fast.com and doesn't auto go...
>>
>>56203589

it gives you upload speed and latency which Fast.com doesnt

also it actually shows you the server location which netflix doesnt

DESU, bookmarking the beta version of speedtest which has HTML5 would work as well.

fast.com is pointless to me tho
>>
>>56203639

and I still prefere the beta.speedtest because you an set it to kbps which 99% of router firmware still uses and makes it easier for setting up or adjusting SQM-QOS
