Good morning /g/! A while back I was feeling a bit overworked because of a massive task with a short deadline, but long story short I developed a series of batch programs that images 4 hard drives at the same time. I can't post the source code since 4chan is a big no-no on our network, so I posted a pic of it.
Note(s):
-This is for MASS deployment, not for just 1 or 2 pc's, that's when you'd use an MDT server
-The batch file imC is similar to the rest of the imaging batch files.
-The imaging tool used was the imagex command line tools
-Everything can be controlled in WinPE or Windows 7+
-Drive check was implemented because my co workers were accidentally erasing drives, but the text file literally only contains the word "succeeded" and is placed in the home directory of my usb stick. Without that file or the USB assigned as g:/, you create an infinite loop until the conditions are met. You could make a batch that creates a text file and writes the drive letter in the text file, and then create another batch that re-assigns the drive letter, but I rarely ran into that problem so I didn't bother.
-all of this assumes that you have a wim already created, and an available desktop that has 4 or more SATA connections/cables
-the file that copies to the boot drive (x:\) is the imagex command tool. I did this because some of the usb sticks didn't have that added into WinPE when they were configured, so I tried to make the program universal as possible.
-This system assumes that you "know things," so if you don't know how it works at second glance (with some research,) please don't use it...
WARNING! Opening a desktop computer or laptop computer could void your warranty, plus opening your computer (if it isn't obvious enough) makes it and the hard drive more vulnerable to damages. Also, connecting multiple drives could overload your PSU, so please do the math before you run the batch! Please proceed with caution.
Enjoy!
Have a better solution? Post it! I'm interested to see what you guys could come up with
Very useful. Thank you for this. Windows deployment tools are a clusterfuck (DISM etc)

No problem! DISM is a clusterfuck. It still makes me scratch my head. Not sure what you meant in the spoiler?
What things are important if you want to get hired at the Big Four (GOOG, MSFT, AMZN, FB)?

I rekt my sony 16-50 kit lens the other day.
You were right /g/ using a Seagate 8TB as a desktop drive was a bad idea. It lasted a year or so.
It died today, and here I though I wouldnt need to worry about storage for a while.

Most /g/ memes other than shitposting memes exist for a reason anon.
What the fuck is with the bad quality of recent drives?
I've been using the same drive for a decade and a half, and nothing has happened to it. Yes, it's a personal bias, and yes, it might be a fluke, but I didn't hear about people's drives dying as frequently years ago. You bought a decent drive and it would last you at least 6 or 7 years.
ITT: Your keyboard
Got one of them for a car-boot for a £1.
>>56209672
I literally have the same keyboard except it's a Gateway keyboard and has the CD/DVD controls at the top and some buttons that say "Help" "Internet" "Email" and "Shortcut". I like it but it gets dirty extremely fucking fast.

Hi /g/ Anon here, I need some help with my mice, I've been using a "Ouroboros" Razer mice for quite a while now, (2/3) Years, and never had a single problem with it , everything was going fine till yesterday, I was using browsing some 4chans and stuff when suddenly the mice stopped working, the ligts on it turned off, I instantly checked the wire and the batteries, but everything was fine, So i went to the device manager and found out that there is one unknow device and that my mouse isn't showing up, I updated every driver that could affect the mice that is : Universal Usb Hub.., Motherboard usb driver, Razer synapse .. etc Still my mouse is shown as a unknown device and doesn't start up, I tried the mice on other pc's in my house and it seems to work just fine , If any of you knows anything else that I could do that would help me in a big way thnx.

>read stories about buttfrustrated autists who cry that CS is a shit degree and gets you no job prospects
When are you autists going to realize you're unemployed because you're bad at programming, not because your choice of major?
I mean hell, pretty much my entire friend group is in the same position as me, which means my scenario is pretty typical. So what makes /g/ say CS is shit and gets no job offers?
I have three ideas:
1) you are all extremely unsociable autists who can't work with other people
2) you wanted to do CS "b-be cuz I want ta make da vidya gaemz" and then dropped out because you realize you're shit at math and a lot of any CS program worth its salt is math
3) you're just lazy and assumed jobs would fall on your plate instead of applying to them

>1) you are all extremely unsociable autists who can't work with other people
I think this is #1 right here, nobody wants to work with cunts, even if they are great programmers, they rather work with an average programmer who can stay emotionally balanced, that can communicate and work as a team, rather than some sperg who only does great things when he gets chicken tendies and GBP on the regular. This is my experience as an engineer in the manufacturing industry at least, My designs work and are nothing special (JustWerks), but I just treat people well and do my job, instead of sperging out in the conference room like TOO MANY people do.
Why did you have to make a separate thread for this. why did you not post in the thread already up.

What's a good bleeding-edge distro without systemd, /g/?
What's so bad about Systemd, and why should I care?

Void Linux, tough only 7k+ packages in their repo.
It's very similar to Arch Linux.

Nothing, it's actually pretty good.
Don't.
