Now that the NSA backdoor data is leaked, what stops the Chinese and other bad guys from using NSA backdoors in firmware of Cisco routers and hard drives to their advantage?
That is, what stops them from remotely accessing backdoored devices?

Do you think the Chinese have already reverse engineered the backdoors and used them already, gaining access to millions of devices all over the world?
13 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
Nothing stops them dude.
But the problem is- the chinese already knew how to exploit these backdoors so it doesn't really matter.
>>
at least they are getting patched now, i hope

http://www.xda-developers.com/with-the-note-7-samsung-still-delivers-embarrassing-real-world-performance/

>But in general, the story is the same year after year: we see the breakdowns from the more-mainstream publications speak positively about these devices’ performance, somehow suspending the otherwise year-long notion that Samsung’s software is in dire need of a serious rework. It’s not uncommon to see the same publications, or even the same reviewers, then admit that the devices had slowed down since their review was printed, often in such tremendous ways that make us forget that advancements like project TRIM ever happened. The Galaxy Note 7 has just come out, and with Grace UX – Samsung’s thorough redesign of TouchWiz – coupled with top-of-the-line components, we would hope this trend would be reversed on both fronts — coverage and reality.

>For instance, after pressing ‘clear all’ on both devices my Note 7 is running 96 processes, compared to the 50 processes the OnePlus 3 — with the same (non-built-in TouchWiz) applications installed. Chrome performance, too, is significantly worse on both benchmarks and the real world, with frequent stutters and hiccups.

Shitdroid is such an embarrassment. But hey, I'm sure there will be some ad riddled app that lets you squeeze an extra 1% of performance out for a few minutes. Pity you're still always running at -50% anyway.

How the fuck do people make this shit work properly? My contacts are normally just on my 2 sims (so i can put my sims in other phones and continue working), but for example whatsapp decides to fuck up whatever you have and do its own goddamn thing, duplicating them, creating merged alts where it inserts its own call data and options, and other apps are just as arrogant and annoying. How the fuck do you get this shit to work like it should? Is there maybe a smarter contacts app that merges the views and lets you manage how theyre stored?

Seems like they intentionally changed the way webcams work, removed some popular codecs, and then provided a registry patch to revert the behavior. Old MS would never make such drastic changes without good reason, new MS just changes shit for the hell of it.

Is Greenify actually good for your phone? all it does is force close apps and i heard doing this actually degrades the phone, because it takes extra power to re-open those apps again.

Where does /g/ go to sell their used tech?

I'm mostly looking for used computer parts (Water cooling items, used GPU, etc)?

I just re-build my system and have a TON of stuff for sale that I don't think would sell on Craigslist.
