So I'm leaving the botnet (FireFox). I'm switching to a fork. Mozilla has stepped up too far. Which is the best? IceCat or WaterFox?

I run OSX on a Macbook Air
Gentoo on a standard x86 Desktop

A) Can I trust WaterFox
B) Can I use proprietary plugins on IceCat?
C) Are either resource hogs?

Because I was bored I managed to succesfully log in to a router that is not mine. Is it safe for me to poke around for a bit or can I be easily traced? Judging by the log in credentials the owner is not tech savvy at all
16 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
Stock consumer router firmwares usually don't log access, so you're free to fuck around. But I'd do it over Tor, just in case.
>>
>>56214936
There is an event log tab though. Should I delete it just in case? I am a complete normie so I don't have any ideas to what it logs.

I also only have my smartphone right now, so Tor is not an option
>>
>>56214965
Clear it, although if you're on mobile.you got a gray dynamic IP that is almost untraceable.
> tor isn't an option
Orbot+Orfox, no root needed. And don't tell me that you're using iPhone.

I don't know why you would want to use it in the first place. Poo belongs in the loo, not on your computer. Use a proper text editor instead.

Are programs like CCleaner, Wise Registry Cleaner, as well as others like BleachBit actually beneficial (in a Linux and/or a Windows environment)? Many claim they do more harm than good.
4 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>56214825
They definitely save time cleaning unnecessary cache and such things, although any OS does that to a certain degree. Ccleaner is better than bleach bit since you can't break anything with it. Not all features they have should be used tho, wiping drives reduces their life span and cleaning registry is dangerous unless you know exactly what you're doing.
>>
Doesnt windoes include some kind of drive cleaner that deletes old cache files and shit? Just use that
>>

Autohotkey is really good for automation. Follow a shitload of people, wait a few days, in follow them, repeat ad nauseum, and you'll build an army no sweat. I have 10,000 followers on a Pokémon meme Twitter.

I'm trying to install a new OS on my server but for some reason it won't boot from the USB drive even though I've verified that it boots from literally every other computer I own
It's a HP DL380 G5
7 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Many servers will refuse to boot from the frontal USBs. Try the ports on the back, or just use a disc
>>
>>56214641
I've tried literally every port
I bet burning a DVD would just werk, though I hate wasting a DVD for a one time install
>>
>>56214343
Update the BIOS if you can.
Reset BIOS to defaults

The DL380 G5 boots just fine off of the front USB ports.
