when I was first getting into linux I was wondering why the hell people kept talking about using them. Didn't help that my family had one of those when I was younger.

Seems the planned obsolescence switch was pulled too early
>I've personally been banned from apple support community three times for sharing this kind of information
>they are systematically deleting any posts that I've made sort of references the underlying cause
nice one, apple
>only affects the yester year's Plus model
>implying every model of a smartphone doesnt have its share of problems/defects
>somehow this is "planned obsolence" when the model prior or the models after or even the smaller brother doesnt have this problem.

m00t would have never let this happen. I know this has pretty much zero effect on your average /g/entleman, but it's still some bullshit.
>not using clover
Fuck that sounds serious. I hope you didn't close the window.
You know that you actually have some kind of adware, right?
Now you should obviously not go download that piece of software, but your phone is in fact infected.
Why aren't you using Cyanogenmod 13 on your Android device, yet?
Because it makes my entire phone crash more often than 12.1
>>56227767
Still cyanogenmod, good for you.
i use copperheados
its like cyanogenmod, just better and more secure

>Inspired by django/django#2692, Redis should replace its "master" and "slave" terminology.
>The summary is: master and slave have racial meanings (especially in North America, but also more generally) and it would be good to avoid them. Django went for primary and replica. I am not sure what makes the most sense for Redis.
>Worth noting, CouchDB made a similar change. As did Drupal.
Does he have a point?
I always use "white man" and "nigger" myself, it's much clearer.
>Does he have a point
Not really... Nobody who has ancestors who were actual slaves minds this stuff, it's just white people in North America trying to virtue signal and nothing more.

How do I get good at being a code monkey?
I'm a software dev for 3 months now. At first it seemed pretty neat and I felt productive but now I feel like getting poo brain from staring at code for 8 hours a day. I can't think straight and look at the clock every few minutes.
How do people live with this? I've never wished so hard for death in my life. Programming is the only thing I'm sorta good at and now I hate computers.
Meditating when you're feeling unproductive helps.
You aren't supposed to program for 8 hours straight. I'm a professional and I only do three hours maybe four on a good day. Do other things like read a tech blog, a book about new tech, design patterns, languages etc.

Nice thread OP, I'll save it and frame a picture of it for when VR is ubiquitous in a few decades.

Anyone else have issues with DisplayPort causing black screens of death and "system failure due to overclock or voltage failures? Never have this issue when using DVI or HDMI. Also seems to be causing what I know is a stable overclock to not stick upon exiting BIOS. I'm gonna update the BIOS and CMOS battery, but what the fuck is wrong with DisplayPort?
Please respond

You could easily have a defective card are you're just bring an asshat but what do I know? I'm just a /g/entooman .
I had some random 'disconnects' in the past that caused my screen to randomly lose the signal for 2-3 seconds. Happened quite a few time in the beginning never again since. First I thought it was related to my phone because every time I put it close to the monitor the signal started to spaz out. Apart from that I never had any issues with it.
