I've been using ubuntu as my first distro and I've been enjoying it a lot, but I have a personal hangup with having shit I don't need and never use on my computer, even if it makes no material difference in performance or anything.

What should I install instead to assuage my autism? I've been thinking void, but I don't know that much about linux yet and don't want to have to go on a frustrating 2-hour-long googling voyage whenever I have a problem. The other option I'm looking at is a minimal ubuntu install.

What do you think?
>>
so i fucked up and want to dual boot windows and linux instead of just run linux.

My question is how do i create a bootable for windows? The normal way to make one for gnu/linux isn't working.

There is literally no reason to buy any of these highest end, $800+ smartphones other than "look at me I have the newest and most expensive shit". And even that's a stupid reason since you'll be paying a retarded amount of money for a device that will be replaced and made obsolete within 6 months.

Stop being retarded with your money.

No, you still have to take a lot of steps to send vertices and fragments to the GPU and tell it how to draw. Every rendering pipeline is mad work

I'm following a tutorial on how to draw a triangle and after a day and 500 lines later I still haven't finished writing the startup code to be able to make draw commands.

I know this isn't tech support but I've scoured the whole internet and I couldn't find an answer.

>be me
>get mugged
>no more phone for me
>get a 2nd gen MOTO E
>buy SD card
>plug phone, create folder called "Music" on SD card
>Drag my whole music folder (like 8 GiBs)
>Wait 2 hours
>Unplug the phone carefully
>95% of songs is corrupted, won't even play
>Half of the ones that DO play are cut short before the 30 seconds mark
>Try to play the files from the SD card on PC
>won't even detect

It just gets better

>Pass a few new songs, one by one to the sd card
>They don't corrupt
>Orgasm.jpg
>Play them on my phone, all clear.
>Pass a few more songs
>Corrupted
>Previous songs also corrupted now.

Any thoughts? I already formatted the SD card from Android, tried multiple USB cables, tried it over AirDroid to see if it was USB.

Always the same bullshit. Could it be that the phone itself is corrupting the files? Now I can play some songs but I only have a LOST.DIR folder on the SD card as far as Windows can tell.

>>
Try putting the song on internal storage
Try using a different sd
If they play on above your sd is broken
If they play only on internal sd slot is broken
If they dont play phone is broken

Basic engineering senpai
>>
That's what you get for adding unnecessary complexity. Why didn't you just copy straight to SD card in the first place?

Need help with 4chanX regex filter. So I need to highlight a certain string, but I need it to match only if another certain string doesn't sit before it.
For example I want to match "one" if "two" doesn't sit before it. So "onetwo", "onethree" or "two one" will match, but "twoone", "twoonethree" won't.
I read the linked regex page and there's look-ahead, I need the opposite of that.

Piggy backing off this.

Is there a programs that syncs files and folders as soon as I connect a media storage thing (phone, SD card)?
Like iTunes sync but with everything else.

I'll be deciding what programmers get hired onto my team.

Just for shits and giggles, what would /g/ use as criteria for selection?

Does anyone else like the smell of ThinkPads? All of them have this interesting dry scent. I like sniffing my X200 Tablet stylus, it retains the scent amazingly well.
>>

I bought an unused X230 that was out of factory packaging and just stored for years. It still had it's new smell remarkably, and yes, I did love sniffing it. I still haven't even used it yet months after buying it because I just want to keep it wrapped up to smell.
