I've been using Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 for a year now and it's time to change. I think I've broken the micro usb port since its not charging at all and I think they wont repair it since the phone has fallen many times.
So me and my gf (who is switching from iPhone 5) are looking for new phones for less than 300 or something close to that.
What are we looking for in phones:
- 5 inch or bigger screen with full hd and nice pixel per inch density,
- good cameras (front and back),
- good battery life,
There are also things that would be nice but optional:
- type C usb,
- jack output on the bottom of the phone,
- fingerprint scanner,
- custom rom support/ recovery out of the box,
/g/ is not your buyers guide.

I'm not asking them for purchase advice I'm asking what the best phone in this price range is in their opinion
How to make soundblaster SB0100 work on linux mint?
>>56360638
Install alsa and select it as the default output
Is this any good? I got one as a gift years ago but haven't opened it cause I didn't need a soundcard.
>>56360638
>SoundBlaster
>Linux
Give up.
Buy a generic Linux-compatible sound card off of Newegg.

Its maintainers can't maintain a website.
It's a useless distro based on another useless distro.
>>56360543
It's better than Arch, I don't really see anything wrong with it anon, it's pretty good.
I still like xubuntu more and I use it as my main OS with win 7 on a VM.
Pls don't kill me.
- Steals packages from arch and passes them off as their own.
- Steals album artwork from edgy teenager bands to use as a logo because they cant even do what /g/ can and make orinal logo.
- Users in the forum appear to be seriously mentally retarded
Wow super geeky
I like Windows 7 thanks to this site alone
Quite a helpful site actually.
does this thing record IP addresses and post numbers??
HOLY SHIT, THE BOTNET IS IN FULL EFFECT
ABORT 4CHAN ABORT
>>56360432
you would be literally retarded to assume it is not
every single post since that google shit has been implemented is stored somewhere with an ip address
it's been that way for years
ONLY FAGGOTS WILL SAVE THIS POST
>as fast as sublime
>shitload of features
>import a cmake c++ project, debug, it just werx
why arent you using kdevelop yet? i switched within hours of the 5.0 release. its really gud
>>56360430
OMG No lie I was wishing for a qt type light ide for linux. Jetbrains ide's don't scale on linux. Eclipse is heavy, NetBeans is just lacking, Geany isn't the worst, Sublime Text is proprietary, Atom is for web development.
Simply put...
THANK FUCKING GNU!
just switched from qtcreator. featureset is actually scarily similar to kdevelop, qtcreator only really is for c/c++, and kdevelop does it all.
>>56360430
KDevelop is one of the most underrated things in Linux
Thanks, based KDE
There is nothing wrong with making a string in c like this.
typedef char[100] string;
What if you need a string big enough to hold your mom's weight?
>>56360484
Then it would need to be dynamically allocated
>>56360382
Well, except for the syntax error of course
For those of you wondering what life is like with an rx480. This is a warning for all you cucks like me, bring it back and get an nvideo
>>56360236
you do realise modern GPUs especially for reference designs it is not uncommon for them to reach 95C? The reference 1080 was hitting 104C in test.
Allso
>buying reference
are you retarded?
You need to take better care of your toys m8.
>>56360321
My 1080 runs at 62°C under full load.
Just ordered a GTX 1060 3G.
Did I fuck up /g/?
>>56360199
Yes. Should've gone for the 6gb.
3gb version is actually cut down from the 6gb and thus you aren't going to get the performance you were expecting.
>giving money to jewvidia

But I am poor though...
What's a good dual monitor desk that also has loads of room for books?
Why do you need more than 1 monitor, anon? You can only look at one at a time.
The one you make.

A $5000 computer only gets 3.5/5 stars on Crysis 3.
Why though?

>meaningful metric
>being underage on an 18+ site
>link explaining these star ratings is in the "important information" section below
Crytek can't optimize for shit and people interpret it as being "so hard to run".

Why does linux have this blurry shit always going on?
Time again for the open sores failure Transmission to make the news by once again distributing malware with their bittorent client. Why do freetards keep defending this piece of shit?
https://www.hackread.com/keydnap-malware-mac-bittorrent-client/
good thing im not dumb enough to use mac os x
>freetards
>posts through an open source web browser
kys.
Closed source will always be more vulnerable than FOSS
https://www.cvedetails.com/top-50-vendors.php
>that only applies to mac users
that's what you get for using crApple products
What went wrong?
>works good enough
>nothing is installed but the base application
It's not autistic enough?
That's because it's open source shit. Why would anyone put any effort into making a decent application through open source?
Also there fact that most users are on memix probably doesn't help.
VLC's UI + mpv would make the best player.
