Hi, i've looked at a few VPNs. I don't have much experience with it, but reading some reviews i have come to the conclusion that i should choose one of these three:

> NordVPN
> F-Secure Freedome
> VyprVPN

I don't care much about the price, but F-secure were the fastest and sold only year long subscriptions. Which one has the best encryption and is not compromised? I also want to know which countries are safest to pick a server from. I've heard that Swiss, Hong Kong and Singapore has good ones. Which should i pick?

Hong Kong gives me terrible ping on NordVPN.

Is it recommendable though? I am sitting here with a brand new computer i have not connected to internet yet, i want it to be secure from the beginning. Any advice?
>>
What i am most concerned with is having a 256-bit encryption, speed, server location and price.

Can't wait to preorder the new iPhone this month and the new macbook pro later this year. They've yet to disappoint me.
>>
>iPhone SE
>£360
>Will get free headphones with a student's e-mail sold for £170 at apple
>Will maybe sell them for £100
>iPhone 6s in the body of 5 for £260

Should I wait for iPhone 7 or Black Friday? Will there be any other discounts?
>>
>>56374727
The SE still has a horrible display compared to any even remotely modern smartphone, and is only made for babby hands. 4 inches is just way too small, I think the new 4.7" form factor hit the right mark.

without an ip address you could not communicate to the internets, and the internets could not communicate with you,

what part of "address" (IP or any other) do you not understand?

Hey /g/, just moved into a campus apartment for college. I'm paying for an internet connection and I'm looking to circumvent the networking rules they have. They're using Bradford Persistence Agent and it seems to automatically end my connection if I plug a router into the Ethernet jack.

The rules state that apartments can't have wireless routers or access points, but that's a bunch of junk considering half of my devices are wireless, including the Kindle I bought for college textbooks. If any networking junkies can help me figure out a way around it, I'd be super grateful.

Oh, the reason why I want to do this is because they force you to install bloatware antivirus that is complete garbage compared to what I have.

IRC: #/tpg/ on irc.rizon.net

Other business laptops are also welcome in /tpg/ (e.g. Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook).

----

If you're looking for purchase advice, READ THE BUYERS GUIDE FIRST. Then post, stating budget and requirements (e.g. size and performance).
Don't buy anything OTHER THAN T, X AND W/P SERIES if you want the Real ThinkPad Experience™
Recommended models:
T420 - 14", normal size
X220 - 12.5", ultraportable

----

Why ThinkPad? (also applies to other business laptops)
>Used machines are plentiful and cheap.
>Excellent keyboards - tactile feel and quiet.
>Great durability: chassis uses a magnesium rollcage for structural integrity, with high quality plastic body panels.
>Utilitarian design: e.g. indicator LEDs, 7 row keyboard layout on older models.
>Docking stations that easily turns your laptop into a desktop.
>Easy to repair, upgrade and maintain thanks to readily available service manuals for every model. Spare parts are easy and cheap to obtain.
>The best trackpoint (that red thing in the middle of the keyboard). Great for those who type a lot or hate swiping their fingers all over a touchpad.
>Excellent GNU/Linux & *BSD support.

What is the average time of day in which FedEx delivers packages? I have to work in the afternoon, so I don't want my 'new' laptop just sitting on my porch

It depends on the route of your FedEx guy.

I think they stop delivering at 7PM
